You are the first video I've watched that has actually read the instructions and explained how to use the Installation tool the most correct way.; sadly as of March 2024 the price for this mini tire changer is $59.99...
I am getting my tire changer delivered today. I have three tires lined up for changing. Your video was very informative and I want to thank you for the time you took to fully explain the tire changer usage.
I picked one of these up from HFT about a year ago and haven't needed to use it yet but will be using it soon. Never thought about putting it in a vice, great idea, Tim. Thanks for the video. I'm now subscribed now. I will be watching for your future videos and go back to your older ones.
Man you are a beast. Why your channel don't have over a million subscribers I'll never know. Videos are well put together, informative to say the least. Whats your full time job? If you say a banker or a CEO I'll die I can't picture you in a tie!
Good instructive video. I would just make one suggestion..if your stool ever slipped, there's a good chance that you could impale your chest or crack your sternum if you landed on the long bolt sticking up. Not being a critic just after working on mowers tractors and two strokes for 40 years i have seen it all. Keep up the videos. Your informative and straight to the point and dont spend the first 15 minutes talking about how great your workshop is.. Thanks fir posting the video, any armature that watches it should now be able to change a lawn tractor tire.
@@ASliceofWoodWorkshop The liquid does not dry inside the tire, only on the outside, the guy who can't break the bead on his tire, proves the point, a rusty rim.

@@ASliceofWoodWorkshop probably ok for fairly new tires but worthless on ones that have been mounted for 20 year and stuck to the rim. Had 200 lbs of full body weight on the handle and did nothing but tried to bend the threaded rod.
Piece of junk. I was able to break the beads for 6 inch rim lawnmower tires. I was able to get one tire removed, but not the second one. Mounting the tires was horrible. Cheap iron tire iron bent. Save your money.

Always keep an eye out for it to go on sale
I have used mine a lot and it does fine. The more you use it the more you will learn the little tricks and short cuts...

Thanks for the sub.
Love mine
consider wearing safety glasses when installing schrader valves. otherwise, good demo of clever tool.
I mounted the base on a small pallet 😅
The nylon spacers are there for a reason. Makes it 10 times easier to use the bar.
You may want to invest in a locking air chuck if you do to many tires, then you can use 2 hands on the tire to set the bead.
That would be very helpful
The aluminum cone should be seated directly on the rime to center it, then the two spacers then the nut.

Haha thanks. I have never wore a tie to a job. That will never happen.

Next investment, the HFT lawnmower jack.
Yes, we'll maybe
Great video. Thanks.
Thanks!
Works great
Good video. Tim you should of had your safety glasses on, the valve stem, could have blown back into your eye. Not complaining, just a safety nut.
Hmmm. I usually have them on. I have been trying harder to remember them especially since I have some really comfortable ones.
you wanted to not put the "thing" in there. easier to seat a bead with the schrader valve core out.
Will it work on a 4" wheel? Anyone tried it? Thanks.
That would be close. It may say on the website.
@@ASliceofWoodWorkshop no it's 8 inches and over
Using dish liquid is trapping water inside tire, guaranteeing rusty rim, use wd-40 instead.
The liquid dries, no issue with the rust.

How do you know dish liquid was used? Its been 20 years since that tire was replaced.

Well it beats nothing is what I found out 😂
You Call that a Jack?
Well.....what else do you call it?
Tim, I thought you were doing pretty good until you stopped telling us what you were doing. Why did you do that?
I'm sorry about that. The audio for some reason just cut off
Try putting on a new tire
A good tire shall not be wasted, especially when replacing one for free
Worthless junk. Wont even break the bead on my old mower tire.Afraid to snap the handle off. Taking back.
Hate to hear that. I've used it on multiple tires of different ages mowers with no problem
