I love reciprocating saws. I once had the pleasure of demolishing a commercial greenhouse while working a summer job when I was 18. I took that building down in two days using a Milwaukee Sawzall, a Bobcat, tinsnips and a 10 lb. sledgehammer. I twice narrowly escaped serious injury because I no idea what I was doing. Good times!
Most people think Friday is the end of the week, for me its the start of the weekend and THIS is the right start I needed, no Boss yet, cuppa T and a Biscuit...Bliss!!!
I smelt gold as a living in a gold mine. I reccommed you use some flux such as borax, soda ash and silica it will reduce the amount time the metals take to melt down and protect them from oxidisation.
Just found this channel a few days ago. I love it. both in the ASMR sense and the metallurgy sense as well. clearing the slag and making molds. all the little things. Got a new fan.

@@southaussiegarbo2054 dam that's crazy I remember when steel in fl was $13 $14 a a ton everyone was scrapping it blew up then died down real quick tho lol. But I got a bunch of copper I need to strip tho right now in fl where I'm at coppers $2.13 clean number 1 copper.
@@hakapik683 That bar was $34 worth of copper and only a couple dollars worth of gas to melt it. But, as already stated, the money comes from the video itself. Definitely a worthwhile endeavor.

I have thought about copper and brass. The board I was going to make it out of oak and cedar. I have just not settled on a theme. Of course my dream board would be silver and gold with a dark walnut with a white oak. I'd have to have Big Stacks money to pull that off.
I get out enjoyment out of 1:10 “Crucible” clearly spellchecked before putting it in whilst using the word 1000x times over. Thats the spirit and the fact you have kept that for over 800k subs is insane! Keep being you, keep being the best!

One of the most satisfying things is the fact you take such good care of your equipment and work space. Couldn’t tell you the anger I get seeing a lack of pride in maintaining the work area as well as lack of care for equipment.
So this guy's collection is probably worth somewhere around $2-10,000 USD, which is quite a chunk of change. But the real goldmine is always in adbucks, as he's no doubt made hundreds of thousands of dollars by making these videos. Smart man.

I miss drinking coffee... I quit about a year back when I got sick flinging out how much I needed it and how much worse I felt because it. Good old caffeine, I was drinking 12 cups in 1 hour for years with sugar and cream added too them. Lost weight and feel better now however mmmmm coffee. Love the video great as always and the green fire looked really cool too

Hello there big stack, today i have done my first polished aluminum ingot it turned out pretty good not as cool as yours though but im still a beginner, tomorrow i will be trying copper again if the weather permits, wouldnt of been able to do it wothout your inspiring videos! @bigstackD Casting I as well am expecting a furnace this week. Mainly for copper but did you and Matthew here use borax? Research says add a teaspoon to prevent oxidization. I'd rather reach out and personally ask somebody who's done this than rely on the internet. Any tips as well I in advance thank you.

The secret is out. Here in NC, people are constantly getting busted for breaking into businesses...especially restaurants and abandoned buildings looking for copper. Every other day it is in the news.
Drug addicts aren't that intelligent if they were they would realize all they have to do is put an ad up online saying free scrap removal and next thing you know you're flooded with messages many of which are offering items that you simply have to take apart to get quite a bit of copper. Same goes with catalytic converters there's a lot of people out there who have junk Vehicles they just want gone no need to go into a parking lot with a battery-powered angle grinder and risk getting arrested or even shot
I do scrap metal for a job and I love watching this because I know what the metal is worth so I love seeing the big bars I wish you would talk but it's cool anyway respect from England

Howdy from Northern Michigan! Several years back...I was messing around on TH-cam here. Run across a guy called the king of random. Inspiring guy, inspired me to build a back yard foundery. Nice and proper out of an old propane tank. Anyway, I was melting copper...it was quite cool out. A bit of snow. I learned that day that a body needs to preheat the copper bits before tossing them into the pot....condensation....that bit of water will cause a mini explosion....seeing you preheat your copper bits reminded me of that. Lesson learned. Great video. I enjoy a good copper melt as well.
At this point I’m wondering when you will fabricate a vehicle, structure, or suit of armor from the contents of the shelves, or if it is some sort of retirement plan. What’s the endgame for that target 1 ton collection?

those chemicals reduce the gas bubbles that form while pouring.

@@perrybb2 Copper smelting has been going on in Africa since 3000BC. By 800-1500BC they were mining and smelting a good quality product.
