Hey there Jim! I enjoyed your video out to Alligator Reef light a while back and now this one too. I used to live in Fort Lauderdale and had many great camping trips to the Keys at Long Key and Bahia Honda over the years. I sailed Hobie 16's and 14's and also a lot of windsurfing. I miss that beautiful water down there so much but it's great to ride along with you on your TI for a while here. Brings me right back down there and thanks for posting!

Glad you are enjoying the videos. Had 6 weeks of non stop sailing with my TI in the Keys......just now pulling together the 4K videos.... Planning on watching them in the winter months when not in Florida waters. More videos coming.

I am enjoying your videos and learning from you. I bought a used TI (2017) a couple of months ago. I was wondering if you had a video of your Jib and how you rigged it? I have seen a couple of ideas out there but nothing in detail on a video. Keep posting your videos and I will keep watching them.

Thanks for the comment. Sorry for the late reply. As for the jib, this is actually the Hobie spinnaker sail. I had it and use it on my prior 2016 TI. I sold the TI and spinnaker. Currently sailing the 2022 TI. I found the Hobie spinnaker setup was cumbersome to operate and only could be used in winds less than 15 mph. As I routinely sail in winds over 15 mph I decided not to add the spinnaker to my Hobie 2022 TI. There are a few good videos on setting up the spinnaker. (just search for Hobie Island spinnaker).

Have you ever done the Everglades Challenge?

I have been to both the start and finish lines and sailed most of the waters in between during the EC but have not entered directly. Mainly due to family duties and lack of "ground support crew" during the EC...

Nice video Jim, thanks for posting it. I enjoyed the two pups keeping track of all the sandbar people. They looked pretty comfortable aboard so you must get them out fairly often. And it was interesting to see that you have two now. I've been sailing the TI in Michigan and the AI in LaCrosse, WI, but not as much this summer. I've gotten into playing pickleball and spend a lot of time on the courts. So I only posted one or two videos in the past few months - still have some raw video to edit into something worth watching. I look forward to seeing new posts of your recent sailing trips. Thanks again for posting. I viewed your KAP informational videos too - are you still doing that or are you mostly using the drones now? Take care and have some good adventures this fall and winter. Lee
