I think they're combining their trip to the hells from later in the campaign with their trip to the fire plane. Maybe to get Pike's vestige, maybe to retrieve Percy's soul after Glintshore, maybe to get Yenk the Gorristro, maybe to deal with the Rakshasa, maybe all of the above.

In season 2 they sort of implied that anyone that goes into the plane of fire just starts burning, so I don’t know if they’re gonna go there. Seems like they might have swapped that with hell, possibly to give them a reason to go back to hell since they haven’t really setup Hotis, which they could setup now or some other reason.
Oh and that creature they used against Vorugal is Yenk, a Goristro

I'm afraid that they are trying to jam a lot of stuff in one season, maybe, to make it last season.
@@MatchBox369 I doubt this will be the last season, they still have much more story to tell. They probably have at least 2 more seasons to come.
They also have no reason to go to both hell and the fire plane in the TV series rather than combining the two.
It made sense in a years long campaign, but in a 12 episode/season TV series it'd just seem a little repetitive.
@@MatchBox369 I don't think it'll be the last season. Matt Mercer has estimated 5 seasons for LOVM.
