You make the best cakes I’ve ever seen. And you’re a terrific teacher. It’s a sin that you don’t have over a million subscribers. I think you will get there though. I wonder if you should do some videos with your grandchildren so that kids can learn simple decorating techniques.

Wish I'd seen this before I made my cake for the competition - lol. The sliver I inserted was WAY too big once rolled, and I hated it, so I piped an embellishment to cover it, then painted that gold - lol. Ironically, one of the judges told me she liked how I made it my own that way. But I should have realized you need a very thin sliver only...Thank you again for another great tutorial, Chef!!

Fondant is not going to stick to parchement paper with oil and will be difficult to lift up. Chech with your florist for the cellophane.
