So you took out the transponder out of the non-button spare key and also removed the "blade?" and then put both on an old case and then you programmed your old key in a new case plus another spare key with a foreign transponder? Did I get it right? And also, do I need the key card? I don't have one and my used Alfa 147 just came with the non-button spare key.
You do need a key card. You got the first part right I got the transponder and blade out of the non button key, and put it in the button key which I then programmed. That's pretty much it...

You can get the code from dealership, but take your keys to cellphone repairman and have them check all of the connections. that is usually the issue, I have fixed many keys that way

I just completely lost the remote function on my only key for GT. I have no code card. The remote worked for 4 years normally, now just won't work. I replaced the battery, no luck. Any ideas what I can try? I can start it as before, just lost the remote funcion.
If you got someone who fixes cell phones, take it there. They can check out if all of the button connections are OK. I fixed numerous 147, GT keys that way...

I have gone to a key shop because none of my two keys remote working ... they copy the key in not original key type like mitt the red .. it unlocks locks everything ok but if you hold the lock unlock buttons the windows don’t come down or up .. I told them I don’t want this and I don’t pay for that key .. they told me that they will find OEM147 key then the problem with windows will fix ? What my cause it ?
My GT is 1.8 Twin Spark. JTS engines are not bad, but the direct injection configuration proved problematic for most car manufacturers. It's the nature of the engine... The most important thing you should consider is the overall condition of the car.
I just bought in the summer a GT JTS. I also have a 156 2.0 TS. Watch out the JTS oil maintanance because I just found out why one of the lobes on the exhaust camshaft has a significat wear! Poor oil maintanance! Bad oil specification or changed too late! All a JTS needs is an oil catch can and maybe a valve clean. Oil consumption si mostly from valve seals. That's it.
Hi! Do you know if the "Key Code" is stored in the Body Computer Module, or is it stored elsewhere? My Alfa 147 BCM was destroyed after some drops of water got inside the grey box. I bought a replacement BCM in a scrap-yard, thinking that MultiEcuScan could reprogram my keys. I don't have that software, but I'd like to know if it can help me before buying it (at the moment, the immobilizer works, so I cannot start the engine). Can you tell me?
My car came with 2 keys. I lost one. I have bought another of ebay for about 35Euro. When programming with MultiEcuScan it says ensure you have all the keys. Will it expect to see the "lost" key? Or will it simply just program my current working key and new "ebay" key. I hope that makes sense? I have emailed support at MultiEcuScan before I actually try it. I don't think it will ask for the lost key. However when you do the procedure you must have all of your keys with you so you can program them. Essentially you will have to program in the existing key again...

Hey kinda late reply, but hope it helps. There actually a seller on ebay that sells you your key code and immobilizer code for around 30$, the only down side is that he just provides you numbers without the key code card so you will have to print them or store otherwise. Seller is called "decodingcode".

If I had to guess, I would say internals are the issue, but you could try to reprogram it. If it doesn't work, you can always buy the used key (replace parts like I did), and program it to your car using this procedure...
If I have one key and the remote control board died, is it possible for me to just get a second hand key and move my sword and trasponder in it and program the remote controls?

Make sure to test both keys and receiver, if the problem is with MES contact their support, they will help you out
