Peter, I was transfixed by your silence throughout this whole song! The fact that a singing coach could watch that entire video and say nothing, then simply sigh at the end and say 'Wow', tells me everything I need to know: ABBA is back and as perfect as they've ever been.
Great reaction! So sensational even now! What an incredibly gorgeous song. The writing, arrangement, musicianship, and vocals are spectacular and measure up to their brilliance! "It all comes down to love," makes me cry every time I see it, but in a joyful way! "Do we have it in us, I believe it is in there." Let's tell ourselves that on a regular basis. Just a pop band?!

I found this song very emotional. It's kind of a welcome back to the fans but with some self doubt. A look back at the good times and questioning can we do something again. The high point for me was when they walked through the stage doors and they appeared on stage as ABBA-tars. I thought wow.
It's easy to forget that they we're/are in their mid 70's when this was recorded, Frida is 76. Welcome Back ABBA. The album "Voyage" hit No1 in 18 Countries.
Enjoyed the reaction! Very much a song to the fans, and to themselves. A special rare and uncommon union, amazed at what they achieved, and humble and grateful they, and their dream had survived. As a teenage boy in the 70's Abba was a huge part of the audible wallpaper of disco and dating. Magical.
THIS IS ABBASOLUTELY A MASTERPIECE. AFTER A 39 YEAR BREAK, THEY ' JUST ' RELEASE 2 NEW MASTERPIECES, AS IF NO TIME HAS GONE BY. AGNETHA, BJØRN, BENNY, ANNI-FRID, I BOW DOWN, RESPECT🤩
“I know it that I have you” is ABBA’s trademark Scandinavian appeal. Listening to a Scandinavian speak English is so mesmerising and that style with Frida and Agnetha together is what makes them so unique.
The video was a journey to 1979. That is the year their avatars are created in. So they led you there. They walked out on the stage in 1979 in reality and then the avatars arrived on stage, same year. The song is autobiographical. Brilliant. The lyrics are deep. . The voices aged but brilliant. Magnificent song.
When you listen to ABBA's music, you are moved, happy, emotional and melancholy in your soul. Now that I see how many people around the world are taking the music to their to grips and being influenced by it, I am convinced that we can all unite around the world. We're not so different, we're the same as people. We can stop fighting, destroy, argue and be greedy, but instead help each other so that man can be happy again. I thank ABBA for the music and am a proud Swede myself. Positive thoughts from Sweden!

ABBA were at their biggest for their 10 Year run, 1972 - 1982. Agnetha and Frida have dropped one octave vocally since their last group recordings in 1982 but all four ABBA members have been active as solo artists during the 39 year hiatus. Their is only 1 ABBA song that features other vocals and that is the Stockholm childrens choir on 'I Have A Dream'. Guessing your Australian so ABBA last top 10 hit there was On And On And On in 1980.
They will be touring but as ABBATARS (Avatars) that you saw near the end. It will be on massive screens. They had 100’s of cameras pinpointing their every moves and facial expressions Singing the songs for 5 weeks then generated into Avatars. It’s going to be in London next May in a specially built venue where the audience will come and watch the big screen, the tickets went on sale last month. They might consider Australia, Sweden and America if this all goes well. Considering the amount of tickets sold they added more dates to the London one.
I have tickets for the Voyage concert next May but they will not appear on a big screen. The Abbatars will appear onstage with the live backing band. This is new never seen before technology created by Industrial Light and Magic ! ❤
@@1glasgowdave oh wow really? 😲That’s even better! It would be clever if they will be able to interact with the audience! Imagine that? 🤞🏽it’s abit like what Madonna did with the cartoon band Gorillaz on a flat screen where she walked through them all at the 2006 EMA awards.
I saw the Swedish movie "Cirkeln" (translated to "the cirkle") from 2015 again, yester day and got a big suprise the exact melody was played on a keyboard but it sounded more authentic. I thought ABBA had stolen it but it turned out that it was Benny Andersson himselv who played. I must admit I liked the movie version even better, it felt more authentic. Thats the reason I always have loved ABBA but almost no other pop from the nineties and forward. I have always loved authentic sound and singing. Old music and Heavy Metal.
Loved your reaction to this masterpiece, just one of many from the best group in the world, they bring so much joy to so many people,I don’t think ABBA really know how much admiration and love we have for them, you didn’t talk all the way through,in fact you didn’t talk at all until it was over, your facial expressions said it all, well done for delivering a flawless reaction x
This song is a masterpiece. Abba were huge in Australia. There are clips in the video of their Australian tour in 1977. The vocals and harmonies are great. Thanks for reacting.
Your face when the Abbatars came on screen was a picture, and it was clear you were impressed. The lyrics are meaningful, and nicely constructed. Do I have it in me? We do have it in us. I picked up on the pronunciation too but in a positive way, and enjoyed the clear enunciation that followed and the 'Swedishness' of the way that Frida sang the words. Thanks for your lovely reaction vid.
@@voxsingingacademy I've been thinking about what you said about Frida's almost sterile delivery and theatrical style. I decided to listen to some of the older stuff to see how it compares. In Fernando, Frida sings "I could hear the distant drums and sounds of bugle calls were coming from afar" in a way where each syllable was clearly separated from the others (like here) and so I think that this style was very deliberate and contemplative in tone. She sings "I still have [micro pause] FAITH in you [emphasis on the word faith]. Anyway, we both liked/loved the song, and the great beauty of songs is that the meaning is a combination of the artists and the listener's interpretation. And of course I don't have your skills or knowledge of singing. Keep up the good work and please do more Abba.
Until now two new ABBA songs have been known, both different in their themes and leading voices And both have the ABBA trademark on their solvency in musical composition and production We know the great spirit of perfection that Björn and Benny impress on their creations, and both new creatures live up to their great successes of the 80s. So the biggest mystery was to know the state of the voices of Agnetha and Frida and how they could react to the inevitable passing of the decades and their possible comparisons with previous classics. And I must also say that they both look very good And in that "look" there is an extraordinary job of caring for Björn and Benny to "take care" of their historical singers, partners and former partners. They gave them two wonderful songs, with beautiful melodies and deep lyrics, but they were also surrounded by the iconic hooks and the appeal to emotional nostalgia "I still have faith in You" is an unpublished song in its conception in the history of ABBA because it is self-referential about them as a group, and it is also testimonial, because they tell us about their experiences in all this time Musically it is a ballad with mystical and epic A stately and majestic piano, and Frida's soft voice conducts and recreates ABBA's story with poignant beauty, with Agnetha joining in some verses to emphasize The sound of the drums arrives (a nod to the mega hit "Fernando") as if preparing the change of rhythm And with a powerful guitar comes that first unpublished chorus, because this time all ABBA sings from the bowels of its history and with the strength of its testimony of life, of healing and togetherness. And in the second chorus, even stronger, it becomes very clear that ABBA sings with the passion and courage that Björn's excellent lyrics stand out, it is like a triumphant song of their survival and their bond. And it ends with a solo by Frida, flawless, with the flutes at the end Also isn't a commercial song (more than 5 minutes) it's so emotional, with a fantastic vídeo of all greatest memories of pictures, official videos of 70s songs and Australia tour ABBA really comes back at high level The world needs ABBA sound Only one correction of your fantástic reaction, with great respect of all ABBA músic history ABBA was the Biggest Group in the 70s decade (not in 80s, because Them split in 1982) and all images You see in these Official Video is from the 70s decade, because the spirit of ABBAtars that appears in the last chorus is to show ABBA like they was in 1979 Thank you again for You reaction, and hope for the next to the uptempo song "Don't shut me down" I give You my best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina South América

Interesting take, yes I think because the ladies haven’t really sung too much in English recently, I think their Swedish accent is seeping through a little bit, I’ve noticed that on their solo work last few years. Don’t Shut Me Down is more traditional ABBA sound.
@Bobtrouper You're right, I'm Swedish and they definitely sound more Swedish now. One of the girls also stated that (sometimes during their 40yrs hiatus) as a reason for not coming back together as a group. I remember wondering if moving towards your 1st language with age is an inevitable fact of life! 🤔
@@rickszwed9670 thing is, I love that accent! I love when Frida & Agnetha talk in English, that heavy Swedish twang comes through, Frida is very eloquent and precise in her diction, Agnetha seems more clumsy talking (in a cute way, seems she has to concentrate more in talking English.) but it adds more elegance to the music that beautiful Swedish pronunciation.
Sterile vocal? Were you listening to the song I was listening to? I love the vocal, felt it was warm. The singer was Frida, by the way. Got the feeling you had no idea. ABBA were in their prime in the mid to late 70s, not 80s.

"I still have faith in You" is an unpublished song in its conception in the history of ABBA
because it is self-referential about them as a group,
and it is also testimonial, because they tell us about their experiences in all this time
Musically it is a ballad with mystical and epic
A stately and majestic piano, and Frida's soft voice conducts and recreates ABBA's story with poignant beauty,
with Agnetha joining in some verses to emphasize
The sound of the drums arrives (a nod to the mega hit "Fernando") as if preparing the change of rhythm
