That part. They might not match up in actual size by Jason Kidd has probably been scheming for the type of ball that Minnesota plays all year. Remember how Giannis had ti change his approach to keep from getting bounced from the playoffs? Toronto & Miami had done the work on him the previous two years and he had to adjust. Lively and Gafford are like a phoenix and a griffin down in the block. Elegant when necessary but powerful at the same time.

Wolves were built to beat the Nuggets, but...Mavs are kinda the opposite of Denver. Dallas' big guard lineup is gonna screw up their rotations or force them to play in a way they're not comfortable with. Ant can only guard one out of Kyrie and Luka. With Joker they had Rudy/Kat/Naz to rotate, but they don't have enough bodies to cover Ky and Luka unless their guys start playing some bonkers perimeter defense.
To add to the answer of how Dallas was outrebounding...Minny's guys are taller, but none of their big men outside of maybe naz a smidge would be considered athletic. Dallas' bigs are hella athletic and lanky so it's not hard for them to beat someone like rudy or kat to a rebound because they will jump faster and higher despite the base height difference.

Can we give J Kidd a little credit? He has been here and essentially is a veteran player on the team he just coaches. He knows basketball and the coaching and experience of him got them past OKC and I believe they will beat Minnesota because you have a coach who is one of the best point guards to ever play and knows how to manipulate the floor enough to put certain players in great position to be successful.

He probably means cause of all the injuries he racked up in the last 2 series ontop of his knee sprain.
in 1 of the final OKC matches they showed a list of the injuries that are on his injury report and it was something like: knee sprain, bruised ankle, bruised other knee, back hurt (from when he got hard slammed by Dort) and even his teeth (from when he face planted hard in the OKC games).
Imo most of those are healed but the knee sprain is still there, you dont heal a sprain if you abuse it for 40+ mins every other night, he'd need a few weeks off for that.

Dallas has their roles on point. They are consistant. The trades mid season was spectacular. Minnesota is big but inconsistent. Kyrie is THE BEST 1 or 2 guard in the league. Luka is better defensively than given credit. I see Dallas winning it all this year. Kyrie will prove the haters wrong!! My money is on the MAVS now that Denver is gone.

Mavs fan here. The Wolves didn't blow it. It's just a great game where neither team was giving up. It was a close game all the way through. What happened in the end was that the Mavs made just a few extra plays, and when you're this evenly-matched, that's the difference.

The weakness of Mavs is Denver, Denver's weakness is TWolves and the TWolves weakness is Mavs. TWolves tailored their team to stop a scoring center of Jokic with their defensive centers, but Mavs dont rely on their centers thus it becomes a problem as Kyrie and Luka cant be guarded.
