I am using a B&M Hammer shifter with the 4r70w in my 66 Fairlane. You need to buy a shift lever/shaft kit also from B&M and install it into the trans. I still have some fine adjusting to do on it, as right now i have P,R,N,D, but 1 and 2 are not lining up quite right yet. Fitech is currently using my car to develop their GoShift controller for the 4r70W, so will know more in a week or two.
I have the B&M Magnum in my 66 Mustang with 4r70w. Also had to install that kit. On the passenger side of the transmission is the range sensor, you need to loosen it slightly and readjust it by rotating it. The easy way for me to "calibrate" mine was to put the transmission in reverse, then I could see my reverse lights go on when it was correctly positioned for the reverse gear.
i just started watching your youtube love the content i do have a few mustang my self but the video you did on the 1970 ivy green torino GT got me i had one just like it 3 speed on column the ivy green bench seat long storie short just like the one you have my come factory with a 351c so would love to ypu make that car great i love mine and miss it ever day hope you have a merry christmas
Jeff, one byproduct of watching your welding, is how great I get to feel about my skills 😜!!! Well, that was a cheap shot.. How does the scrub line of the trans 4R70W pan, compare to the C4 pan underhang ? I will be doing this exact task on my 65 FB later this winter.. Love the work here. Take care buddy...
Cool

Did you lose ground clearance when you did the installation?
All I see is the pan being ripped off 😮😮😮😮😮
