Patsy Childress thank you for clarifying that for me...my understanding was they were named after the gal who made them and her name is Dorothy or Dot...I assumed the wrong pronunciation...😊

The lady who invented them was called Dot (short for Dorothy) so it's not Doe-tee but I dare say many pronounce and spell it in different ways.
