Almost nobody bought the upgraded cab trims in this weight class, they mainly existed because there was a market for plush(er) pickups and with the cab shared between them the marginal cost of offering them was tiny. Likewise, you never saw the chrome package on medium-duties except on firetrucks.

No electronic controls on diesels back then and gasoline engine electronics were just transitioning from analog to digital.

My 1975 had a 366 it pulled like hell it was used agriculture very seldom ran over 45 mostly from field to dairy very seldom drove on the road but with 12 ton it would run 65 down the road I have no idea how they rated the horsepower back then...
