I love this video. I'm restoring a 77 Sierra but for some reason I also just love this on its own. I've probably watched it 100 times over the year it's been up.
jason3fc Yeah Jason I like it to, I don't care what anyone says these were some damn good looking trucks, I've owned a few over the years, right now I'm restoring a 96 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 4x4 five speed, good luck on your project Jason.
I sure like to post all of my trucks on you tube but I don't know how to set that up all of this modren technology I just can't understand we're to start 😅
12:20 yea well you should have made those hood hinge plates where it bolts to the hood about 6 inches longer and SIX bolts for support, so that EVERY single 73-80 hood doesn’t fold/crack right at the hinge.
Could recognize the sound of those doors opening and closing with my eyes closed
These were some of the best pick ups I've ever owned, I love to have the Short wheel base 78 model that I had years ago.

Under hood jack! I forgot about that. Solid steel tailgate straps. Seems to explain the saddlebag tank as balancing load on all springs.
Comfort. Control and Confidence.

Back when GMC meant work truck, not overpriced soccer mom SUVs and pick up trucks that cost as much as Cadillacs.
Very true. Work trucks stopped getting made in 97 in my opinion.
I know. We need more affordable options.
They look so small compared to todays
They are. I have a '78 K20 and its the same size as my buddies Colorado.
I own a 1973 c-30 chevy Duelly pick up trk with a stock 454/400 trans

These GM trucks left Ford, IH, and Jeep so far behind. Dodge did ok. The Dodge and these were all light-years beyond the others.
Make mine with a granny gear 4 speed!
In the second film, that short guy asks waaaaay too many questions.
Yes he does but the background music makes up for his annoying voice.

Keep everything lubricated and it worked fine.
