    Come and join me while I run the final section of the UTMB course! This is such a gorgeous route and I was so happy to be able to run it again. This time as we were with other camp participants, we took it easy, stopping often to take pics, enjoy the views & learn about the course from our amazing guides.

    These surroundings are so beautiful. I always watch your videos partly for the nature, I am nowhere near being able to do such runs, I need to get comfortable on roads then move onto trails which is my ultimate goal. I have started running 3 months ago and longest runs are starting to stretch to two hours. Just bought my first pair of light trail shoes, and will go to Richmond park in a couple weeks as my first venture into the world of trail, though it is still quite urban...

      This is awesome! A lot of the camp participants were just moving onto trail for the first time - sometimes I think you just need to take the leap and go for it! Enjoy 🤗

    This is actually the way in 2022 and previous years, but this year, 2023, the route to La Flégère was changed and went up the mountain/hill from Tré le Champ, very different profile of the track for those 10 km before the new route joined with the old one.
    But thanks for the video

    I thought I recognised those trails, I did a 20k with 1750m of elevation gain a few weeks ago starting from Les Praz (going opposite direction) while on holiday from Aus! One of the steepest runs I've done for the distance, but so stunning! Thanks for the video!

    Parts of the terrain look very similar to the Retezat Mountains in the Carpathian range ( those rocks at 6.36). The elevation is somewhat different, I think ( around 2000 meters, max 2500). Will be running a short cross there next week ( 12.8 km with over 1000 m elevation) after starting running in May this year. I do come from a solid resistance training background and got into running because I wanna explore more and be a more versatile hobby athlete. Hope I don't capitulate though, as I know it will be tough😅
    Your channel is a big part of my running inspiration and following your journey is a pleasure! What amazing views to experience! Much love

    Flora, you are so inspirational! I’m wanting to do more trails but I’m so slow and clumsy that I’ve only been brave enough to walk the trails. However, just wanted to let you know that I emailed the running camp for more info and I did tell them that I learned about them from you. Thx!!!

    What an incredible experience!! I'm going to be paying off a boatload of debt next year, and I think I'm going to need to start saving for something like that... probably on my side of the pond though! 😅 Thank you SO much for taking us with you, and giving us some nuggets of wisdom from the coaches to help us with our own adventures!

    What a beautiful hike!! You are so fortunate to be there. Such a beautiful place! I would be so afraid of twisting an ankle on one of those rocks if they are wobbly!! I would love to experience that hike just for the fun of it 💓💓
    Have fun and enjoy the experience! Thanks for sharing!

    • @FloraBeverley
      @FloraBeverley  ปีที่แล้ว

      It was gorgeous!! Haha a little wobbly but if you go fast enough the rocks barely move because you spend only a split second on each rock 😅 thank you!!

    Great video and really beautiful scenery. The comparison with a fighter jet is quite questionable though. Technical terrain needs a lot of experience, very strong body, legs, feet etc. and a lot of prudence. Nobody should overestimate himself which is the main reason for so many accidents and injury.

    • @FloraBeverley
      @FloraBeverley  ปีที่แล้ว

      The fighter jet analogy is exactly that! Not to go fast, but to stay steady & calm while everything is going on around you. (As someone who used to work with fighter jets and now works in trail running, Paul knows what he is talking about 😅)

    I didn't really have a desire to go to the UTMB area until now, but seeing those views on the descents has changed my mind!!
    Will add to the list...especially as it's not *too* awkward to get to by train :)

      Hahah yeah it's stunning! Not TOO difficult. It was a bit of a ball ache, but we'll worth visiting/staying in Annecy on the way through like i did! 😍

    Hi Flora good video! The ladders are fun right??!! Probably one of my favourite hikes from Vallorcine having taking the train from town! Love seeing someone enjoying Chamonix so much, especially when you know the route. You doing the OCC this year? Phil (Chamonix)

    • @FloraBeverley
