    Thanks for clearing that up. I was mistaken. And I still love your channel.

    If it's rated for 400 psi why shouldn't it be used?
    God bless you all!

      I has a problem with fracturing especially if bumped. there is also a chemical breakdown possible . I have used it in the past and many others have. the best to use is the fast pipe or black iron r galvanized or copper.

      @THECompressorGuru thanks.
      I read the comments on the other video, which gave me other reasons also.
      God bless you!

    PEX would be far safer than PVC for air. The reason being is that if PEX ruptures, it doesn't throw sharp pieces all through the shop. I have personally witnessed what happens to PVC after it has been exposed to heat and compressor oils for a few years, then gets bumped by something while pressurized. I was about 30 ft. away from the 2" main line from the screw compressor was hit by a pallet falling off the forklift another guy was driving. The explosion was incredible with the shards of PVC going all over the shop and into the ceiling. I was hit by two pieces in the leg and arm. Both went through my clothes and were stabbed into my skin. I had my welding hood down at the time, so the piece that hit me in the head just scratched paint off. Fortunately, the guy on the forklift and nobody else was hurt, but the shards were all over the place with holes in the insulation on the walls and ceiling. I have been using high temperature PEX in my shop for about three years now with no failures at 185psi. Not saying it won't fail or to use it at all, just that it is much safer than PVC. I do have a Rapid Air kit that I will be replumbing with in the near future to do it right. Also, don't put compressors in the dirty shop environment if at all possible. It really limits the lifespan and greatly increases maintenance with all the dust and dirt they collect...not to mention the noise. Compressors really need their own separate space with lots of clean airflow for cooling.
