Thanks for the video, seth! As I understand correctly... If my machine is a workbee style1500(x-axis) x 1000(y-axis) controlled by the X-controller. I setup a new machine > 3rd party > 'other' (because I don't see the specific built in the list). Do I only have to change the work area to 1280mm (x-axis) x 824mm (y-axis)? Or are there other settings that I have to change in the advanced settings (machine inspector)? The machine is a belt driven (z-axis lead screw).
Seth, I'm very new to the CNC world. I have a MillRight Mega V XL machine and attempting to design in Easel on a MAC. Yes, a MAC! I Know, it's not the ideal set up, but it's what I currently have. I am having a difficult time generating a G Code. The "Generate G Code" button is no where to be found. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Mark
Correct, in October 2022 the "automatic" was renamed to "hardware". So for a software controlled spindle like on the 3018, you'd select "hardware" For a manually switched spindle like a router you'd select "manual"
Hi Seth. Thanks for the video.....I have a problem. When I choose "other machine" to create a profile , a website opens to tell me I would have to install the easel drivers. But I am not using an X-Carve or so. I cant find the page to set up my machine. Do you know whats going on???
UPDATE: the metric work area bug has been fixed! 👍
What cnc do you use with easel?

This is under the project menu near the bottom.
Sounds good, hope Inventables fix those " little" errors don't really want a cutting area 25.4 ft wide !!
My easel account don't have a option for the spindle control to go to automatic it only has manual and hardware option

Yes, I did happen to already have that driver installed. Unfortunately even creating the fictitious profile does require downloading the easel driver
@@SethCNC Thanks a lot

Must be a setting, sound works fine for me 😎
