Lord Hank of the admiralty is an absolute riot 😆🐾. Left 🇬🇧 31 years ago and the one thing I miss most is the British humor and nuances, you’ve got it in spades. Thanks!
Just found your channel - a sailing contact sent me a link to your Biscay delivery trip on the Lagoon (that he had prevously delivered to les Sables; evidently someone brought her back to Falmouth!). Great channel, enjoying your films very much. We love cruising in the SW; we were anchored in the Dart and up at Saltstone about where you were (and off Smalls Cove also - lovely when the wind is not blowing up the estuary) a couple of months ago on our summer cruise on our Poole based HR36. We'll look out for you when afloat! (By the way. Salcombe is usually pronounced without the hard A you are giving it... more 'Saulcombe'..).
Hi Guys Just a quick note on the red deisel with the bug killer in it, the bug killer turns the deisel red which could be thought of farm deisel where the tax has not been paid that is why it has a red die in it It may be very rare to have customes and exsise visit you but if they dip your tank and find red deisel thay may think you have not paid tax at the pump. Keep your reciepts and the bug killer bottel to prove it. Happy sailing thenks for the channel.
Thank you for allowing me to be a virtual crew member from France. Your filming, notably the drone shots, is epic. Love the fact that you row the dinghy. I won’t comment on Hank...only give him a big head🐶. Now...if you did tasting local food specialities around the UK coast...you’d break into that vast foodie YT community👍🙄. Must go and write a novel, the creative juices are clearly flowing!
Of all the places to visit on the South Coast, Salcombe is the best. The entrance is spectacular, the calm waters inside provide excellent Dinghy Sailing in almost any wind strength. Back in the 70's the National Solo Championships were held there, I did not come anywhere in the fleet, But so enjoyed my Sailing every day, a couple of the days courses were laid outside the Entrance, That kept the Rescue boat busy! I did manage one year to come third in the Southern Area Championships, but that was with my Daughter as crew and in a Mirror Miracle in Eastbourne. Needless to say I love my sailing. I listened to the ship to shore at the entrance for details of where to go for anchorage in the Video as you entered Salcombe, How you understood anything I will never know! Thanks for a very interesting episode.
Just wanted to say thanks to Hank, we had to put our Toby boy down today so hank brought a smile to my heart. Anyway don't want to be a downer. Love your channel the bloopers were spot on!
There were several comments about your humor and it reminded me of another Englishman I met years ago. I was attending a NATO Electronic Warfare School at Oberammergau in Bavaria as a US Marine. A few of us got together after classes one evening for a good time socializing. The English officer had your same kind of the typical British humor that is renown. After entertaining us for a while without even planning to, he says he knows a trick he wanted to show us. He takes out his CLEAN handkerchief and folds it into a ball and ties two knots with the corners and it came out looking like his "white pet mouse". He then showed us a trick the mouse does. He then rubbed the 'mouse' on the sleeve of his sweater and released it down on his cuff. It then commenced to work its way up his arm apparently on its own! And pretty quickly! Now we were all close enough to see that there were no fishing lines attached to it, so it had to be some manipulation of static electricity! But it was the funniest thing we had ever seen, owing to his stiff upper lip delivery! It must have been purely a British thing because he was surprised that none of us had ever seen it before. The rest of us have just led a deprived life! Ask around in the pubs if anyone knows of it. That would be another great out-take!
You guys crack me up! Nothing like a bit of British Humour to make the world go round. I must say Hank is becoming more Human every time i watch him Maybe you should put him on Night watch. Cheers from the brit in california. all the best xxx

Hello guys - I have become such a massive, and recent, fan !! I fell in-love with England when I was there a number of years ago and am hell bent on returning. But as Dom said in one of your episodes, when people think of sailing adventure and discovery, the English coastline and waters aren't always the first destinations thought of by international sailors. And one has to ask, Why in heavens not ?? What you are doing now is very high on this inexperienced, yet enthusiastic, sailor's future travel dreams ! I am still largely a novice but fast building confidence on my 23' sloop, Island Gypsy, exploring the coast of sunny SE Queensland. I have some questions, if you could indulge me ? Hank is amazing - what breed is he ? Have you had boats before Cadoha ? How much experience had you had before deciding to jump on to a lovely 38' yacht like her ? Is there a story behind Cadoha's name ? And what do you both do for work ? What sort of work did you do before ? I sound bit nosey I know :). As far as your vids - superb. As you come into Dartmouth high up on your port side and nearly on the transit there are several large houses one of them allegedly was used by Henry VIII to moult his falcons in presumably the warm climate helped ? Useless bit of information but the bloke I used to sail with always mentioned it when we came into the port !
Enjoying your sailing in the uk its great to see, I'm thinking of joining a sailing club in chichester , dinghies first 😀 but looking a head is it legal in uk to drop anchor anywhere as long as its safe or not in a nature reserve or harbour ?
Most places, you know unless it’s a designated area that says you can’t, like a main channel, designated area of conservation, or commercial port etc, but generally, if the weathers right, you can anchor in so many places 👌
Love it. What a brilliant episode. I always look forward to seeing you pop up in my notifications. The outtakes just go to show what a lovely couple you make. Watching this back though, are you sure you should've said YES LOL Congrats again
We did, although that wasn’t until our next stop in the videos. The drone footage in this video was caught on the mavic 2 Zoom. Right now we just have a cheaper fill in model which is the mavic air 2 and so far, the little I have flown it, I’ve managed to get some ok footage. It’s not as good as the zoom, but we’ll likely get a new one after Christmas when we’ve worked again over the winter and the January sales kick in, that or we’ll buy a second hand mavic 2 pro when people are selling off due to the mavic 3 coming out, we’ll see.
@@CadohaAdventures I can hardly spell anything anyway ha ha it’s like salt… you don’t pronounce the A you’d say it solt. If that makes sense. You know how us subscribers pick you up on everything 😂 are you heading west for the red arrows at Falmouth?
Your vids are getting more and more "stop what im doing and come and look at this" and I am a local. Hank is sleeping in cos of suffering from lack of female dogs, take him to the dog red light district, erm.... I think it will be in Plymouth but who knows he might get lucky in Salcombe.
Is this the Dom show? Seems like 90% of the videos are just occupied by his annoying rambling and very little sailing. Is it a sailing channel? All BS no sailing!
@Max Meridius it’s a funny thing communicating over the internet, isn’t it, it gives people the ability to communicate with perfect strangers in anyway they see fit, with no fear of being socked in the mouth, and I’m not sure it always brings out the best in people. Anyway, if it’s not for you, that’s fine, there’s really no need to be rude. Hope you have an enjoyable weekend. 🍻
Oh dear, spoken like a true narcissist. Violence is never the best option!! But on the other side of this the Internet doesn't give people the option of telling people to their big face that they have incorrectly branded their youtube channel as a sailing page when it's just you feeding your own ego! I stayed tuned in hoping to see more of the sailor Carly (passage planning, pilotage etc.) and Hank who is less obnoxious than you!! Unfortunately it didn't happen, so fair winds.
@@CadohaAdventures thanks, that’s a great answer and info, much appreciated!
6:42 carefull you dont get one on with that lot in your hands . Peace.
That wouldn’t be fun 😳
Great vid as always… the way you say sAlcombe makes my ears bleed slightly 😂
How should it be pronounced? If you can spell it phonetically for me to figure out, I’d gladly get it right 😬😬😬
@@CadohaAdventures I can hardly spell anything anyway ha ha it’s like salt… you don’t pronounce the A you’d say it solt. If that makes sense. You know how us subscribers pick you up on everything 😂 are you heading west for the red arrows at Falmouth?
Your vhf audio quality sounds pretty poor, maybe consider changing the wiring in your mast next time. Although it might be the youtube comoression
It’s actually all brand new wiring. This particular call did sound more crackly than most though to be fair.
@@CadohaAdventures might have just been the in the sending en rather than the recieving
Your sound level is 25% lower than the average TH-cam video sound level, fyi!
Appreciate the feedback, I had no idea there was an 'average sound level' at all?
@@CadohaAdventures My 'average' sound level is what ever I set my volume control to.
write a book please
Outtakes were great, but you are totally getting upstaged by Hank.
Upstaged by Hank? No argument there!
Your vids are getting more and more "stop what im doing and come and look at this" and I am a local. Hank is sleeping in cos of suffering from lack of female dogs, take him to the dog red light district, erm.... I think it will be in Plymouth but who knows he might get lucky in Salcombe.
😂😂 what are we going to let ourselves in for in Plymouth hey? 😂
@@CadohaAdventures It is a lot quieter now than it was when I was younger.
i'm french and my dream is meet you in real life
I disliked this video purely because there weren’t any, and I’m a twat. Cheers 🍻
Actually I feel bad, I removed it.
Ha ha, brilliant, hope you’re having a good day regardless 🍻🙏
Is this the Dom show? Seems like 90% of the videos are just occupied by his annoying rambling and very little sailing. Is it a sailing channel? All BS no sailing!
Plenty of other channels to choose from, may as well find one you like 👍🏽🍻
@@CadohaAdventures 100%. I've unsubscribed from this melty channel🙄
Maybe we'll cross paths on the sea and can have that chat face to face 🤞
