My family grew up just one block up on this street on 5th and Jackson and L&M (formally known as CJ’s) had been a staple in this part of South Philly for many many years. After CJ’s was closed down the to an overnight fires few years ago, my good friend and his family decided to take over and continue this tradition of a “hood corner store” and has been popping ever since. Please y’all, I’d suggest you give this place a try for an affordable price and you will not be disappointed!

That’s exactly what we do cheesesteak hoagie still under $10. And most times they give us a large cheese fry or onion rings on the house. They stayed open for the whole pandemic the deliver to the elderly neighbors only. We support our local small business. Plus they are nice!

Their dollar put your children through college & whatnot. Be fair, polite, treat ppl with dignity & respect, even go as far as to help those in need(if you can) and the hood will support/protect your store for generations. Otherwise....

Used to go here twice a week on my lunch break the steak was $5 and the fries were $1.50 back around 2012-2015 . Food was always good and never had a problem once. Highly recommend!

Bruh, real life gems can be found in the hood. My Dominican corner store be having the I’ll chicharron and hot dishes in the window. I’ve had a Philly cheesesteak in Philly once over the summer. It was almost $20 per cheesesteak but it was good. 😋
Them hidden little spots are some of the best, we have a place called Don's Motor Mart, looks like any other little small town spot, but inside they have a lunch counter in the back corner that has, hands down the best fried chicken I've ever had, there is no other places around that can even come close
We had a corner store back in the day that had great cheesesteaks called Miss Johnsons we lived in that store almost 24/7. The food was great, Those little stores kept us going.

I told people on another video about philly cheesesteaks. You can go to a corner store get a cheesesteak platter, something to drink, a blunt and something to put in that blunt outside the store for a cheap price and is much better then going to pat's or geno's.
The Bodegas are staples in communities up north... I can still get a huge bacon egg and cheese on a roll for 3 dollars that and a coffee in the am for 4 dollars before work u cant beat it... and everything is freshly made...
Aint nothing like going to the corner store and getting a cheesestake with fried onions and they lace it with some ketchup and hot sauce and dolla fries all in a container and grabbing a dollar tea or juice all under 10 and be good... #Salute

If it’s a Papi store, they put Adobo on that steak, and that’s what makes it great. A lot of places(bigger spots) don’t season the meat.
