- The BMFA Indoor Scale Nationals returns after a 2 year gap due to Covid and what a great event it turned out to be. Huge thanks to Graham Kennedy, Mike Stuart and the team for organising it
I had a great day though the filming had to fit in around my own classes ( and repairs) so I didn't necessarily get the best flights.
The last 4 mins is the Air Race with excellent live commentary by Peter Smart

Graham Banham's No Cal
Richard Crossley's Aeronca Champ in Kit Scale (it won)

Seriously, we older guys enjoy playing with Airplanes like this than the young kids today.
Men will always be kids at heart... awesome flying everyone!!!
These models are more than paper and wood, they are examples of Fine Art❤ how nice is the hobby of aero modeling in all its ways.
I always wanted to make one
@@gamer_god8416You really lack self initiative. Imagine going your whole life wishing you could just place an order for a plane kit and follow the instructions to glue it together. Can you dress yourself?
Those models are more than paper and wood. They are paper, wood, and rubber bands.
Childhood never ends,happily.
the martin pbm sounded awesome and nice catch by the spectator
So peaceful! I’m mesmerized 😊
Same here ! Wonderful !
I was very surprised to see this video pop up in my feed, and so glad I dropped by! This whole scenario of indoor flying took me back to my early teen years when I attended a youth club that taught us how to build balsa planes in one of our hobby classes. Nice to see the mix of white haired folk paired up with youthful apprentices. Lots of fun for everyone!
I seriously thought that small white one was radio controlled. It looked like it was going to fly through the gallery twice. Most excellent!
The PB2Y! Perfection!
Great building and flying… BRAVO!
Amazing to watch!! Great job 👏
Thanks for posting this, I got a lot out of it👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The art of trimming and balancing.
How excellent, creative, artistic, and fun and NO damn rap music!
Felicidades por seguir fomentando la cultura del arte de los vuelos a escala indoor,
The flying boat and ROG zero were amazing !
A really great event and a video that is a pleasure to the end. I hope to be there live one day... Thanks for sharing.
Yes, being there live is always preferable.😏
Takes me back to the 70’s when my uncle started a club which is still going today I believe. We did indoor free flight, outdoor control wore and there were one or two people who could afford radio control. I also recall round the pole indoor flying which was great fun.
The very part of the Aero modelling hobby and the subject I love the most.. Requires great skill to Build, Trim and fly these aircraft. Beats the sound of a 'Wasp trapped in a barrel' any day.
So satisfying! Thank you!
These are all free-flight, yes? Hella cool. Brings back memories of fly-aways on windy days... Thanks, good fun.
wow the PBM sounded fanrasric - and great catxh !
Amazing
awesome!
Some great flights by all! Too bad about the Kates fate in the air race, I was pullin' for it. :)
Greetings from Mexico.
Retired people making his dreams come true again
Need a big inflatable King Kong on the Empire State Building for a centerpiece..
All those folks were kids during 1970is . Kind nice and sad in same time
How do you find the space to test these planes out before the event? It looks like a lot of funanyway.
it is weird but flying so slow gives to thos tiny planes realistic feeling..
Has no-one told James May about this?
Nice to see ROG still mandated.

Show the model close-up first !
🥰😍❤
Saya sangat menikmati pertunjukan ini, sangat indah, penerbangan yang indah, andai di tempat saya tinggal ada gedung seperti itu tentunya saya akan sangat gembira. 👍🙏🙏🥰🥰
Terima kasih Aiden
@@squirrelnet28 you're welcome 🙏🙏🙏🥰
It's all fun and games until someone breaks a rubber.....
Why don't they use a motor to wind the rubber bands?
Winding by hand allows more feel of the torque of the motor. For competitions they are wound to just short of breaking point which is easier to judge on a hand winder
@@squirrelnet28That is impressive dedication.
its a rubber propeler, ok, but its a RC planes ?
No, no RC involved. No external control of the models when flying they are all free flight
@@squirrelnet28 amazing !!! tnx for your reply...and happy new year

As the man said, toy planes and b00bs, designed for kids, played with by adult men.
