There is no gods and if there was he wants to take them all down. With all the shit that’s happening there can’t be😆 Burn heaven and flood hell Make your own life your own paradise. Fuck religion.
Of all the first Parkway drive songs you listened to, it had to be Wishing Wells. 😂 Honestly one of the most aggressive songs vocally by Winston (the vocalist) on the album. So much anger and emotion behind this song. If I'm not mistaken, it was written during the grieving of the loss of his brother, or some family member.
The lead singer, Winston, went through a period where he lost multiple loved ones and also his dog in a short amount of time. That’s where the inspiration for Wishing Wells came from. Also, fun fact, he’s hanging upside down here (hence the odd body movement).
my favorite song from them . lead singer lost a friend and the songs about grieving and all the emotions . “Burn your heaven , flood your hell” could be anger . “Ask me how I’m copping and I say I’m just doing fine” is just about everyone dealing with loss and hiding the pain . every lyric has such meaning and it’s amazing . Also you’re right , the video is a one take he the day after he got the news of his friend
Wishing Wells' is the compression of grief into song,” says McCall. “It's attempting to place blame when there is none, seeking answers where there is only emptiness, and ultimately trying to find some kind of reason and meaning to justify the ultimate loss we will all be faced with in life. This was a quote from the lead singer when the song came out
I won't deny that I had the most insane goosebumps the moment he opened his mouth. I felt this song deeply, having been in the same place. I should check out more of them!
Day something of asking for a Dayseeker reaction. For real though, would love to see it and Rory's voice is just pure melted buttery golden goodness. In terms of PWD, you should look at some of their older songs like Romance Is Dead, Five Months, Home Is For The Heartless... lots of great tracks.
YES RAY YES!! YASSSSSSSS! my top 2 songs ever! Awesome you got around to it. Very very very personal meanings for me after 15yrs after the military. I wanted vengeance on EVERYONE who burned me....
This song comes at a point in my life that i connected with it, and i can't bear to listen to it without tears of rage filling me. The video pushes it over the top with the feeling of being in a straight jacket
Hell yeah! Parkway are incredible! This is towards their heavier side of the catalogue, but they have some calm songs as well. Amazing musicians and Winston still has amongst the best vocals in metal music! Suggestions if you want to hear their calmer stuff, try Darker Still! :)
Definitely Darker Still next 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 They used to practice in the basement of the parents of one of the bandmembers and it was located on Parkway Drive
This whole album that this song is from is based on the grief and anger you feel when you lose a loved one. I believe it was a very close friend, like a brother, that he lost before he wrote this album.
There's many other bangers but you started with this one It took me 2 years of listening to parkway drive to finally accept this song , you should listen to other songs they are a great band 💪 But this song slaps hard💪💪
the song talks about the anger someone feels after losing something they love. You should also check out 'The Colour Of Leaving' by them. It talks more about the grief when losing someone you love
HEAVY 🤘 Idols And Anchors Sleepwalker Wild Eyes NOT SO HEAVY 🤘 Vice Grip Ground Zero NOT HEAVY 🤘 Writings On The Wall A Deathless Song The Colour Of Leaving
I've seen them live... Few years ago @ Bloodstock in England.... They played the main stage.... Hadn't got a clue who they were?? But they were great live....even tho I didn't know a single song
I did the same but it was Download 2018. Didn’t know them at all but by the end of the set they were my new favourite band and have stayed there ever since! 🤘
Hmm. Hi! Try out Nemophila- Amateras, Mayu ( vocalist) can make run for their money any screamers, her vocal is absolutely beautiful! Also if u like high vocal, check out HAGANE - Hero Time, their new live MV is absolutely a banger!
Parkway drive is actually the name of road they lived on in Australia in Byron Bay , which is actually a chill surf town .. so there is some truth to what you’re saying
I just want to say this is not a very healthy way to deal with grief, unless you're the Doomslayer. The one guy who can really externalize the problem and thus solve it.
This song is a one take. I believe he was also hung upside down during the shot to get the intense visual. The song was made after a friend of their’s committed suicide.
This song is about channeling anger and grief when losing loved ones to illness or an accident, when there is no one to blame.
There is no gods and if there was he wants to take them all down.
With all the shit that’s happening there can’t be😆
Burn heaven and flood hell
Make your own life your own paradise.
Fuck religion.
My favorite part of this song is that Winston did the entire video in one take. He is one of my all time favorite singer and this just solidifies it

A friend of his, his dog, and someone else
@@nathanforti9120 One of the band member's partner was diagnosed with cancer at the same time also.
Parkway drive is so chill it's sparkle fabric. Channeling anger and grief. This is a good song for that.
Parkway drive are just some chill Australians. : )
Please please please MORE PARKWAY
All the band members grew up on parkway drive that’s where they lived lol! That’s how they got their band name.
The lead singer, Winston, went through a period where he lost multiple loved ones and also his dog in a short amount of time. That’s where the inspiration for Wishing Wells came from. Also, fun fact, he’s hanging upside down here (hence the odd body movement).

This is one of my favorite songs by this band!! Iblove the raw emotion in it
Favorite Parkway Drive song. They have alot good songs.
Same. Brilliant song
Of course romance is Dead , Dark Days , Flash , Bone and Weakness and a lot of more for me the best Metalcore band in the world 😌
Probably their heaviest song in multiple ways for a first listening. Full deep end with this one
SUCH an amazing song. LOVE Parkway.

If you like this, I ABSOLUTELY recommend checking out the song Darker Still. Its phenomenal.

YES RAY YES!! YASSSSSSSS! my top 2 songs ever! Awesome you got around to it. Very very very personal meanings for me after 15yrs after the military. I wanted vengeance on EVERYONE who burned me....
"Parkway Drive, this is going to be so chill.............NAUR" 😂
Normally, Parkway Drive would be pretty chill it was a suburb in America. However, they are Australian.
Nothing chill comes out of Australia.
Usually does when it’s from Byron bay but they’re are an exception
Winston's vocals is absolutely amazing and lyrics is also very deep. One of the best bands, i've ever heard.
This song comes at a point in my life that i connected with it, and i can't bear to listen to it without tears of rage filling me. The video pushes it over the top with the feeling of being in a straight jacket
Same. I always skip this song because it feels so deep, and touches me in a lot of ways that I also can't avoid to cry in anger.
Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em - Parkway Drive 🖤
Not every metal band has an overtly metal name. They can't *all* be Obituary lol
If you used the same logic you used for Parkway Drive, then Linkin Park should be super relaxing 🤪
@@dumattco nah, you ever tried to park a lincoln? those things are fuckin boats, finding a spot where it fits is stress inducing
They used to be a metalcore band.
Hell yeah! Parkway are incredible! This is towards their heavier side of the catalogue, but they have some calm songs as well. Amazing musicians and Winston still has amongst the best vocals in metal music! Suggestions if you want to hear their calmer stuff, try Darker Still! :)
More parkway please, these dudes crush!
I'm surprised he didn't bust a blood vessel hanging upside down singing this song
Definitely Darker Still next 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
They used to practice in the basement of the parents of one of the bandmembers and it was located on Parkway Drive
Sleepwalker and bottom feeder are absolute W songs
probably my favorite song by them
Winston has one of my favorite screams, not too high and not too guttural to not understand. Also the music is amazing.
SHADOW BOXING by Parkway pulled me out of a dark place. Great live band.
Ohhh a fav from many moons ago!!!
ive always loved the vocals in this i think he pushed it real hard.
Winston!! The video for this is just like "I am above"
Parkway Drive - The Void (Live in Wacken)
This whole album that this song is from is based on the grief and anger you feel when you lose a loved one. I believe it was a very close friend, like a brother, that he lost before he wrote this album.
I saw parkway drive perform live at inkcarceration in July and their live performance is sick 🤘🎸🔥😜

I think it's a play on words for a litteral "wishing well" and 'wishing someone well' after some shit happens.
Do "Darker Still" by Parkway Drive. It's incredible
These boys have many great songs!! Checkout Bottomfeeder, it's a live footage and general great band introduction!! Prey is good too
I've seen them live...
Few years ago @ Bloodstock in England....
They played the main stage....
Hadn't got a clue who they were??

You need to try " Crushed " and " Bottom Feeder " by them🤘
Also for reference if it hasn't been stated, Parkway Drive is the name of the street they grew up on/practiced as a band in Ben, the drummers house
Also so many fans stole the street sign that it's now painted on the road instead.
AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!! 🤘
Oi Oi Oi!! -Not an Aussie LOL
You MUST react to HOLE by Grey Daze !!!!! crazy vocals
Awesome 🇦🇺
Carrion is a better starting song for them. Give them another listen.
Basically what he be saying is that he killed the belief in god and the devil because of the loss he had.
Hmm. Hi! Try out Nemophila- Amateras, Mayu ( vocalist) can make run for their money any screamers, her vocal is absolutely beautiful!
Also if u like high vocal, check out HAGANE - Hero Time, their new live MV is absolutely a banger!
Parkway has lots of emotional charged songs, I highly recommend you to PLEASE listen to Blue and the Grey. That or Horizons.
Both of those songs have awesome vocals, lyrics, and are instrumentally and musically precious.
Please go down the Parkway rabbit well!
Next Parkway Drive - A Deathless song ft jenna
Parkway drive is actually the name of road they lived on in Australia in Byron Bay , which is actually a chill surf town .. so there is some truth to what you’re saying
Buuut have you reacted to "Romance is dead" already from parkway drivooooh??😏😏
I just want to say this is not a very healthy way to deal with grief, unless you're the Doomslayer. The one guy who can really externalize the problem and thus solve it.
React to Slipknot Disasterpiece live London 2002
Up
pair this with the colour of leaving..😢 same album, wishing wells is track 1, colour of leaving is the final track..
Great song, but you need to check out Glitch off their new album for a different side of them.
Check out Periphery and Dayseeker!
🙂
How have u not react to slayer 😅?
Pls slayer - raining blood
pls react to music YELLOW LEDBETTER - PEARL JAM
Con semejante cuello es normal que pueda forzar las cuerdas vocales a un nivel gutural alto.
Please make a reaction Video a bout the Song Dark Days by Parkwaydrive 🙏 cause I love this Song and I really would hear your opinion :)
you MUST continue down the path of PWD. please..
You need to listen to their older stuff. Sooo much better
This song is a one take. I believe he was also hung upside down during the shot to get the intense visual. The song was made after a friend of their’s committed suicide.
pretty sure this is about Tom from Architects.
@@thebk247partly yeah I think Tom and one of Winston’s family members died in a short space of time
"I think it's a one take" - you are ground zero for soft brain.
Why you no Whitechapel :,(
