I used to live and work in Avoriaz as a bin man for the local council, 2000-01 and 2005/6. I'm now living and working in a tiny ski resort (1 drag lift, 1 two seat lift) in southern Germany Nice video.
@tippy_travels Bad Kohlgrub, 2900 people. There's a camp site, but campervans are "verboten" in the normal parking places overnight. It's a good distance (60+ minutes) from Munich, for either a day trip or a longer trip. The ski station is only at 900m - 1500m and hasn't opened for winter yet, although it's always open during the summer for walkers.
@tippy_travels that's good to know, we made our 1st ski trip to La Plagne in our self build the 2nd week of April 24. Watching your content makes me desperate to get back to the Alps.
Yes you're absolutely right. We missed that out of our chat. I'll add it in the description, we sometimes forget that we're in a relatively small van, so it doesn't occur to us that it's an issue. Thanks for highlighting! 🙏

Nice video.
Oh cool, where in southern Germany is this tiny resort? Is there a stellplatz?

@@clivearmitage thanks for the info we'll check it out 👊
Great video, packed with super helpful information, thank you!
Thanks for the feedback! We never know if we're communicating things well enough...
Thanks for the tips, we are going to La Plagne in the new year, will you be doing a trip to there ?
We would like to, we've never been but also haven't properly looked into it, I understand you need to book?
Excellent informative video, i may have missed it but what date was this?
This was the end of last season, but we checked with the farm and the tourism office that all of the content is valid for 2025 👍

@@LeeChadwick-gk4kp We're heading to the alps on Boxing day, so we're constantly scouring the webcams to see which resorts have the best snow!
According to Google Maps there’s an height restriction of 3 meters on that parking.

You can stay at the Seraussaix farm without any height or size restrictions, thanks again
Conditions look great, hope it lasts all season.
