    Is the headliner just stretched and glued to the furring strips? So that between the ceiling supports there is nothing behind it?

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used glue and industrial staples. Nothing between them except insulation.

    Hello, I really enjoy your videos and build. Just curious, how does that fan cover stay up because that fan area is only plastic except for the 4 screws? Are the magnets that strong they stick to the 4 screws?

    • @RichBuilt

      hey man, the cover comes with magnets I taped behind the flange of fan shroud and there are magnets on the cover as well.

    Hi there, really enjoying your conversation,I want to use your method in my Promaster but I prefer to reside in the Pacific Northwest, Problem with putting wood in the inside roof is extreme condensation, the insulation has to be very moisture resistant, let me know what I recommend for the extreme condensation in the Pacific Northwest 😊

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, I'd say as long as you have moisture-resistant insulation you'll be okay. I used Thinsulate and I've been to Washington twice with no issues with condensation

    I just bought an almost identical board and the 2 1/4 inch holes for the LED lights have me really nervous. It leaves you with only a sliver of wood on each side. How has this held up for you in a moving vehicle? Have these boards cracked at these thin parts yet?

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I've had that happen twice. I've had to abandon them. Main thing is not over tightening the bolt more than necessary to secure the item I'm fastening to the wall. Also I try not to remove the bolt if its been tightened.

    Rich, what's your interior height now, with floor and new ceiling?

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll put a tape to it and let you know but it reduced the height by roughly 3 inches.

  • @AndreasEUR
    @AndreasEUR 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why did you choose flat ceiling? I hope you're smaller than 5'10 xD I could never imagine having ceiling 1 inch above my head.

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah for aesthetic purposes only. I still have a lot of head room after doing this so it works out.
