    Great water system setup. Couple of suggestions: At 13:10, it's best not use the Teflon tape on the 3/8" connections. Those generally come with a dedicated gasket, and Teflon would interfere with the seal. Also, it's pretty handy to install a 6" access hatch to the tip of the tank. This makes cleaning and servicing the tank much easier. And if you do this in the beginning, it also makes getting the plastic shavings out easier. Otherwise really good approach!

    Great video and installation! only one mention with these tube colour tubes is low quallity and you will have problems very soon . These tubes became very dry and broke. Better use a ppr tube.

    Nicely done! And good job using the word escutcheon in a sentence, a very rarely used word so it's the word of the day! :)

    Hi Rich, you should add a support 80/20 bar in the middle of the outside water tank. In the long run, the water tank will change shape slightly with full water. This is one thing I forgot to do before i add the panels. I also tried this electric water heater. It drained more than half of my battery, so I went with the gas water heater. Don't need to worry about battery percentage.

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good idea Jack, I'll have to do that. Yeah I tested the water heater and I think its best utilized when on shore power only or emergencies.

    Thank you for sharing your build. I am currently working on my cargo van conversion at the design stage. I have a 2022 Transit 148 mid roof and really like your clean and compact layout. I wonder whether you can share the dimension of your water system, in terms of length, width and depth. Thanks.

    This is an awesome build thank you for your channel. First question which 20 gallon tank model is that? Is it the full wheel well cover sp-c-20 or is it the one that has an open end on one side sp-l-20. Second question are you going to do an electrical setup video? I really want to see your electrical set up I'm planning on using the bluetti system. Keep up the great work.

    I think you mean vinyl or poly tubing. I.D. Is an abbreviation to inside diameter. I could be wrong but I’ve bought a lot of that braided vinyl tubing over the years.

    Hi there! How is the water heater working for you? I'm curious about the power draw. Do you leave the water heater on at all times? Or do you turn it on before you need hot water? Great video!

    Again, great content. Very clean install. It looks much more serviceable than my install. Is that water heater just plumb and play?

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Jeff. That’s right. It simply fills up with water and gets pressurized as part of the system.

    Hey rich. Great job on the build. What did you use to secure the nw conversion tank to the floor?

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Jamie, the tank is secured using angles attached to the 8020. You can see some of it on the front/bottom of the tank and it’s also attached using Dual Lock Velcro.

    any thoughts on that Bosch Hot Water heater? I've got a propane instant heater and been thinking about switching to the Bosch, but I'm concerned about how much electricity it draws.

    Very Nice Setup!! Thank you for sharing. Do you have DC to DC charging setup for your Bluetti AC200+ B230?

    • @RichBuilt

      Thank you! Yup I’ll be incorporating that to the setup

    • @thebg7532

      @@RichBuilt Cool!! 😊 I have AC200Max + 2x B230, and 400W Solar for my setup. We don’t have much sun here in Seattle so I need to figure out how to charge the Bluetti while driving. I’m thinking about using Victron DC - DC charger but not sure if this will work. Goal Zero implemented car integration kit for their products. I suggested to Bluetti, hopefully they will consider. Thanks again!! looking forward to your video about electrical.

    Please correct me if I am wrong, while shut off valves are need for your home (connected to city line), I am missing the need for shut off valves (added cost and weight) in such a small system when you can shut off the pump. Anyone, please tell me what I am missing as I am installing a water system in my vehicle as well. Thank you. And thanks for sharing this setup too.

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      KnittedBrow, the shut off valves are not necessary, but I installed them out of an abundance of caution should I have to resolve any issues down the road with any of the fixtures/fitting leaking. It will allow me to isolate and address issues without having to empty the system. Will come in handy if I'm in the middle of nowhere and want to conserve water.

    I followed you and got a bluetti AC200P back in May for my RV. Did you have problem with your display on the battery percentage. The percentage of the battery remaining does not show correctly on my. Do you have the same problem? Also are you going to add the shower inside the RV?

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jack, I have not had that issue. I haven't had any issues with my original AC200, but I know the company will take care of you if you bring it up them. Hope they can get you a replacement unit if they can't troubleshoot it.

    How does your murphy bed stay up while you are driving? Are the 80/20 hand twist brakes strong enough to hold it up?

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tom, the bed will not stay up while driving. I’ll need to create another anchor point to do this.

    • @jackjiang6318
      @jackjiang6318 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did the same setup as Rich. But I used the 80/20 15 series. I always kept the bed up and had no problem. I been using for 6 month with no issue.

    I am installing a Bosch electric water heater (similar) - do you know if they need to have a pressure gauge? Thanks.

    • @RichBuilt
      @RichBuilt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From everything I saw when I did my research, it did not require a proprietary gauge. Even in a residential setting, but I would always double-check the manual and your application.
