We camp in the keys all the time. You did not mention Pennekamps sister park for bike riding. Curry Hammock you can head north on bike trail and ride to a small park on Florida bay stopping at the barrow pit. There is also a neat hike in Curry Hammock on the bay side. Kayak to the sand bar at Curry Hammock right off the beach.
A great place in Marathon to have a really good time, especially on Sunday is Sunset Bar and Grill. A meganormous tiki bar hidden next to the 7 mile bridge. Just took my lady down to the Keys for the first time. South Florida native/ Virginia transplant, still a great time!

We were just in Curry Hammock State Park and loved it!! My favorite state park in Florida so far is Silver Springs State Park!! Still can't get Bahia Honda and John Pennicamp. We did go to Boyds Campground but that is not a state park. It was really close to Key West!! Thanks for sharing!!

We have stayed at two if the three (not Bahia Honda). Didn't like John Penicamp but I think the campground has been updated since we where there.
