It was hard at the beginning, but then, we got used to it. Believe me, most of the food people eat now a days is pre-processed. We instead eat more grains and vegies , stay away from sugar and salt. Eating fast food and drinking coffee all day is bound to get us hungry and thirsty. As soon as it is breakfast time, I drink as much water as I can. This way the kidney can cleanse itself. Then stay up all night and sleep in the morning till noon. Once it's daytime its time for work. We get so distracted that we forget about hunger.
siemenssx1 You can't. You starve. Humans can starve for a few hours. Minor complications on human body, but nothing serious as it only lasts 30 days. Just some metabolism changes..

Here in Kolkata, India the duration of fasting in Ramadan depends upon the month of the year. During December it's around 11 hours and June around 15 hours. Plus June is very hot and humid here.
