the fact that you don't speak in your videos creates an incredible calm and makes us enjoy the video thank you a thousand times you are my favorite youtuber
What a peaceful travel video. No music, no talk, pure ambience. Feel like I'm traveling myself with those captions popping up in mind along the journey.
For those of you who read this, I just wanted to let you know that everything will be fine, whether it's sleeping or relaxing from stress. If you're going through a hard time now, it's a temporary thing, and it's okay to remind you that there are many good and comfortable days ahead. If you are going to sleep, I hope you have the most beautiful dreams and the most peaceful sleep. You are such an amazing person and the world is lucky to have someone like you. I wish you all the best, love and strength. Good night
My mother, a native of Japan, grew up just minutes away from Ginzan Onsen. I remember visiting this place when I was a kid, and at that time this onsen was virtually unknown even in Japan (an NHK drama from the early 80s put the place on national notice). I don't know whether it's still there, but there were skiing slopes by Ginzan where I went skiing a couple of times.
You’re a great videographer and editor. Despite no talking, your videos are absolutely enjoyable to watch. I honestly have not skipped a single video. Keep it up.
@@englishatheart I agree. I've just finished watching 3 in a row (from this channel...) & it's easier to concentrate on the content & even read the subtitle captions too.
Having a 'honesty store' in the train station really puts some faith back into humanity. It's such a simple but amazing thing to see. Cheers. I would pop out of my room around 2-3am and then take photographs. It's a beautiful spot.
The small regional airport I fly out of here in the U.S. has one. It's pretty nice since with the small number of flights each day I doubt they'd pay to staff a shop but I can still buy a snack or drink while I wait for the plane. It would never work in a large airport but it seems to work ok in a small one.
Spirted Away is one of my favorite animated films, possibly in the top 3 for me. I haven't seen the film for many years, but Ginzan Onsen did very much remind me of scenes in the film especially when the lights came on in the town.
I went to Japan November last year and had a tour for 7 days. That was the best experience I ever had in my life. I wish to go back to Japan again someday and try this Spirited away village. Thank you for sharing the beauty of Ginzan Onsen! Addded to my bucket list!!
That onsen is so pretty. And the music box was playing "A Spoonful of Sugar" at one point. I'm a big Mary Poppins fan. Paper covers rock. But have a wonderful day anyway.
SO relaxing, always wanted to travel to Japan, but my traveling days are over, i am 62 yrs old now, not in too good health, oh i wished i could have gone there, your sooo lucky, enjoy my friend.
What a beautiful village, especially in the snow! I felt your pain when that first bus couldn't get you on. You taught me a few things I didn't know about soba.
I love your adventures. Thank you for showing us how to eat certain meals. It’s hopeful for me as an American. And thank you for great content all around.
I visited last month and it was great for pictures. I don't like eggplant but the hot soba was better than expected. And for some reason the transfer to the train going back is very tight, our bus barely made to the station by 1 minute.
You really enjoy food yet you stay so slim! The streets of Ginzan Onsen look like jigsaw puzzle pictures. Thanks for giving me something to smile at. 👍
Great trip. The village and the resort looks outstanding when in winter. Knowing the schedule is very important, especially when this place is full of visitors.
If it takes 5 hours to get to Ginzan on a bullet train I'd go that route also. That marshmallow hot chocolate cost the same as the 40 minute bus ride into Ginzan lol. Ginzan is so lovely, such a darling village but looks sooo cold. I really appreciate how you always tell us what your eating. And explaining how to eat certain foods. It will be useful if I'm ever in Japan which is my dream. This was very enjoyable. Thank you for taking us along. Maybe next time you can return in the spring and stay a night or two and don't forget to take us too.
Love, love, love this video. Your reactions are so honest and sincere. I find myself agreeing with all your observations. Fifty plus years ago I was a college student in Hawaii and visited Yamashiro Onsen in Ishikawa Prefecture. (This was when the exchange rate was still fixed at 360 yen to the US dollar!) My cousins were on a 6-month contract to dance hula in the dinner theatre of a local hotel. I had previously been on my own in Tokyo and Kyoto where I went to see all the temples, palaces, Kabuki and Noh that I could manage. It was the end of summer, so visitors to this hotel in Yamashiro Onsen were mostly families getting ready to send their kids back to school. I learned how to bathe properly in the Japanese style and spent relaxing time in the hotel’s communal hot springs tubs and pools. An obvious novelty, I was a fair-skinned part-Hawaiian guy with lots of body hair but everyone was faultlessly polite. After my cousins finished their evening shows we partied a lot, usually buying fried chicken from the same street vendor and then going to little bars to drink and eat. I remember on one occasion somebody taught me how to drink tequila - that was a highlight! One day we took the train into Yamanaka to go shopping because at the time it was considered a big town compared to Yamashiro Onsen. When we got to our seats on the train, there was a brown paper bag sitting there and inside was bunch of cash all in yen. One of my cousins said, ‘Oh, yeah, people here carry their cash in paper bags.’ Really? I had never heard that before nor have I heard it since. Being pretty self-centered, we didn’t make an effort to find the owner of the paper bag - but we did spend all the money in local shops and bars. And felt pretty good about that. But sadly, I left to go home shortly after, taking the train to Nagoya. When I got to the airport there, I specifically remember the shock of seeing Westerners again. To this day, my heart overflows with affection for Japan and its people. Something about your videos just reminds me why that is.
I love this! It is just how things looked when I traveled around Japan by myself many years ago! I really enjoyed the video with no narration (especially with those horrible AI generated voices) nor background music. Very peaceful and what a beautiful place. The comments and transportation 'suspense' at the end were very entertaining!
It's so beautiful there! I know how you feel about the bus. Once I waited in Manhattan for a bus to take me to Penn Station. They kept passing me by, too fully. Finally I just walked! But Ginzan Onsen looks beautiful but a lot of planning to make a comfortable trip. It looked so cold, we have had very little snow.
Absolutely Stunning and so incredibly beautiful and magical! No wonder it's so busy, such magic will always draw people ❤️ Loved the whole video, thank you so much for this 😊
