A lot of us have side hustles that could benefit from some automation at no cost. This week I want to show you how to build a customer order form and automate the process of ordering and sending invoices to clients for billing.

Create a pre-filled link of Order Form: 02:02
Connect Form to Spreadsheet: 03:01
Add Unit Price & Total amount columns to spreadsheet: 04:39

Google forms keeps inserting new rows a the top of the responses sheet and does not contain all the formulas created in the responses sheet, so how is that fixed?
Thanks for the knowledge. I just have a question, what if a customer wants to order 2 or 3 orders of the candles. How do you go about it especially in the order list and invoice?
Thanks for watching. Unfortunately, this method is limited in that way. You’d have to pay for a Google Forms extension to configure it that way. But there might be better inexpensive methods to do this now: Gumroad, Kajabi?
Hi Shem, is this a form of a funnel? lead magnet? Also, is link and form created and supported by and through Google?
Hi Ruthie! Thanks for watching😊. This is neither a funnel not a lead magnet (if I understand those 2 terms correctly😅). It's a way for you to automate the process of your clients ordering your product(s) and receiving all the relevant information about payment and delivery in an email. Document Studio is an add-in from Google Workspace. Add-ins can come with certain risks, but based on my research it's safe to use.

Qn. What if the customer wanted to order more than one type of item in this case candles in one order form? How would we deal that in terms of computation ?

Yeah that's a challenge. There are some add-ins in Google Forms that allow one to create a proper order form, but they may be glitchy or not free. This method works best for people selling one type of item.

I believe there's an add-in called Neartail you can use but it isn't free.

Hi! I'm glad you like the video. Unfrotunately, this method is very limited. It's a workaround for a specific case where someone doesn't want to spend money. Ordering different candles would probably require filling out different forms 😔

Thanks for watching! Unfortunately not. This is a very brute force method that tries to get around using more established (non-free) alternatives.

Hey! Thanks for watching, first of all. There a few Google Forms plug-ins that can help with this, but they aren't free. And if you're willing to use them, you might as well just pay for a more established solution like Shopify, Gumroad, etc. I hope this is helpful.
How do you get the excel sheet to coincide with the Google form
It’s Google Sheet, which is automatically connected to every Google Form. Is this clear?

Nope Not at all. But this was years ago, things may have changed 😅
how do it get it to be automated responses. without dragging it down each time I get a response.

Hi Ravi! Sounds like you can use Excel or Google Sheets for that. But you may have to build it from scratch.

You're right. I suppose this is what they mean by, "cheap things will cost you."
