Doom has two moods: playful, and deadly serious.
He's almost always in a playful mood, because he's confident enough in his power that he's not going to treat anyone but Richards like they're an actual issue, but if you're determined to be a threat to Doom, he's going to treat you like the problem you decided to be.

I do not think him to be playful. I find him to be more curious. If something is worthy of his gaze. He usually has plans for it.
Playful is not a word that belongs in the same sentence as doom, he takes himself way too seriously to be playful, that’s why he’ll squish any regular person like an ant for even so much as a perceived slight.

This why I love Doom, he can team up or fight anyone, and it usually make a great story.

It's not like Eddie doesn't want to do that, but Doom doesn't know Eddie's whole ordeal. Brock told Doom himself that he's basically a ticking time bomb and has to "disarm" himself before he can return to Dylan.

The way they wrote it in the comic when the doombot was reporting his failure was much more funny in the way it was delivered than how Rob described, actually that whole dinner scene was, with Eddie trying to figure out what Himbo Frankenstein meant, which what was on the shirt that he stole earlier in the series 11:27
I love this Venom run because it just makes sense. The character motives are clear and believable. Yeah we have timey wimey jargon but the reason someone does something is always easily digestible. In my opinion, this writer understands more than anyone how to tell a comic book story.
I think it goes well with the Carnage stuff (I don’t know if they’re set concurrently or what) where his true motives or objectives have advanced to universal domination instead of Manhattan domination or whatever it was before
Love Doom talking about time travel and others attempts at it. Doom mastered it long ago in his first comic appearance. In Marvel time travel radiation is even called Von Doom radiation.
I love the dual venom and carnage stories going on. I think this upcoming (hopefully final) showdown is gonna be one of the coolest events in marvel history.
Doom cannot fail, Doom can only be failed is the most Dr Doom quote of all time!

I appreciate the long story’s and the daily story’s as well. You are by far the best one reading comics and when you explain everything in detail it helps out so much. I’ve listened to so many comics with you that I would have never read otherwise

You ought to take a look at David Michelinie's Venom: Lethal Protector Volume 2. It takes place in the past when Venom still held a grudge against Spider-Man and didn't yet have his own comic series. He actually meets and interacts heavily with Doom in that one, and it's so interesting to see the juxtaposition of Eddie's interactions then and now. Then, he was very rash, brutal, and a street-level villain. Now, he has wisdom, experience, and compassion to temper his darkness, but still headstrong and bold as ever as a King in Black. Loved the conversations between the 2.
I love how Victor is either on chill or in goblin mode, there is no in between. The fact he realizes the scale of power Eddie has now but still no fear to fight him. Doom is one of the GOAT’s

He didn't truly become Bedlam, he was just forced to watch Bedlam from the inside.
I'm pretty sure he was Bedlam during the Dark Web stuff, but I can understand how everyone would forget dark web as it was terrible.
Eddie was full on bedlam in dark web because he had his memory wiped so all he was was his '90s ultra rage version
@@comics_explained that was the big identity reveal, in Dark Web he actually became Bedlam, the only thing that actually meant anything to come from that. Then immediately after that he had the fight with the king of limbo that sent him to the eventuality. I was working when I saw the video, didn't have enough time to properly articulate
@@comics_explainedYou're wrong, Eddie actually became Bedlam, but due to the nature of Limbo (which is a dimension where time is VERY tricky) time had split up into two timelines, where on one of them Bedlam had won against Darkoth and jumped back into The Garden to continue the time-loop that leads to Meridius and on the other Bedlam lost against Darkoth and was banished into The Un-beyond, where he met The Eventuality A.K.A the seventh Venom, and learned about being a King In Black, The Beyonders and all that jazz. This thing that you said about Eddie only being trapped inside Bedlam did happen, when Eddie tried to save Dylan, and then Meridius trapped Eddie's mind inside Bedlam's mind escape, but that was BEFORE Eddie became Bedlam. Man, i don't mean to offend you or anything, but it doesn't look like you ACTUALLY read the comics. Cuz' you say alot of stuff that either didn't happen or did happen in the comic, but not in the way that you said it. You're a channel that people go to know more about comics, so your informations should be accurate to what happens in said comics. Again, not a offense, just doing constructive criticism here.

I miss the more grounded story libes. Because of power scaling every character is now super powered. They even needed to retcon the symbiote origin just to upgrade Venoms powers.

It's annoying because they are going to retcon it and we know it. No other writer is going to write a symbiote that can actually gather all the powers of marvel heroes well or accurately.

Doom feels in and out of character... He knows good and well that letting Eddie use it won't actually mean *anything.* He has scoured the entire multiverse before. In every other way he's fantastic in this. Him *daring* to fight this form of Eddie makes Doom seem a bit stupid... He has a being with universal levels of power *asking for help.* Most of all, Doom should have recognized the bargaining position he was in. It'd be like another Dr. Strange favor to call in eventually.
Honestly, I haven't liked much of this run. I feel like it undercuts how good Donny Cates' run was. Now instead of Eddie beating Knull due to *being worthy* of the Enigma Force, he's *destined* for it. Time travel's just not worth it

I'm not sure how accurate my information is, but Dr. Doom doesn't just have a time travel platform.
He has a perfect way to time travel that _doesn't_ cause damage to the timeline. Usually, there's a rule in place that too much time travel damages the time line (Wolverine, for instance, cause a problem), but Dr. Doom's platform is so good it does not. It's not just the time travel itself that is coveted, it's that it's so sophisticated it has no side effects.

Eddie heeded one of Doom's tenets but not the other. The one he heeded was Doom is no one's second choice. The one he didn't, go home and be a family man. If Doom tells me to be a family man, I'm thanking my lucky stars I'm alive.

Doom never met Knull so he has no real idea the power he is dealing with. Eddie isn’t even trying to really hurt him just locating the Time Machine. I can’t wait til we come to the Carnage vs Venom fight

You have the Jack Kirby side which is Avengers, F4 and Dr Doom storylines and at the same time you have the Steve Ditko side which is the Spiderverse side which includes Venom and Carnage all going on at the same time

When Spider-Man gave Eddie Venom he also gave him luck and power. Also I love 100% evil Bedlam being red but I think Good Bedlam should be a different color obviously because of Carnage. A new color not Black,White or Red.

I'm pretty sure spiderman wasn't supposed to be the king in black.
What we learn from the story makes it clear it always would of been eddie brock.
When it says peter was born for it, it probably more means that someone like peter parker was perfectly suited for a role of such incredible power and incredible responsibility, rather it being the reason he was born.
Otherwise peter parker should have reacquired the venom symbiote at some point and been the one to defeat knull.
But as eventuality says, it doesn't matter how the path forks or what happens, eddie was always going to become the king in black, even if someone else ended up with the venom symbiote or if he died, he is eddies eventuality and chances are this eddie brock eventuality probably existed deep in the abyss even when knull was the king in black, given that he kept telling eddie that knull said that in regard to how he was responding to his answers.
Meaning knull probably met eventuality too, but never realised that he was eddie brock, or when he met eddie never realised eddie would eventually become the being inside the abyss.
