  • Originally this was going to be a website only project, but I decided to make some rough videos of the build as well. In this one I iron out the design and build the case for the oven. Next time I'll install the element and build the door.
I'm documenting this build on my website forum, starting here:

I was just thinking "He sure makes it look easy to cut straight lines free hand with a grinder" and then he cuts that sliver.

While I was watching it I was thinking more and more about making that steel box more as a interlocing "top", and "bottom", something like a box with a full removable top.

Peanut butter sandwich build is a great idea and assembly on the table saw. Change mind about what kindof jelly to use 3 times and then trim the crust with the mitre station...I bet it wouldn't be monatized though

Although yours is built already, I have a video on a blacksmith forge I built on my channel you may wish to replicate in the future. Its a simple design, extremely efficient....and the total cost was approx $135. The outside can be touched while in operation even tho the shell is steel, it retains heat extremely well. I wont spam your channel by posting a link but you may wanna check it out...its my most popular video. Keep up the good work John 😊

Oh the joys of building with an open mind, sometimes a change of idea is good. What have you done to your grinder cord, looks like it was wrapped around a pipe, or were you trying for the curly retactable flex look.

For people that have no experience with them, cutting a line like that with an angle grinder probably isn't all that impressive. I should probably make a video (gotta start somewhere) showing what an inexperienced idiot looks like attempting the same cut and the carnage that ensues. Not that I would injure myself (maybe) but the cut would be so jagged and irregular you could get cut just by looking at it.
