I really like both sims! I am looking for as much realism as possible, but since I don't have real life experience with cars, I can't say which one is better...yet...I can only stick to the experience of others (and their opinions are divided). But my first thoughts with iRacing, are that you have to be REALLY delicate with your driving inputs because it's really easy to spin out otherwise. This might help me be more precise with my driving in the long run...so I would say that's a big positive!!! On the other hand, because of this delicacy with the tires, it's much harder to save a spin. For now, when I over-rotate the car...It's impossible to recover (for me). It goes from 0 to 100 immediately. But I probably just need more time in the sim to get used to the feeling. With ACC you can be way more aggressive before the car spins out. And when you do over-rotate the car, there's still time to catch the car from oversteering into oblivion. So yeah, I like both sims for different reasons. But at the end of the day I'm looking for the one that's closer to reality . I don't know which one that is for now!
@@Achillefsgiannisis Same, I’m looking to put more time in whichever sim is closest to real racing physics. I do enjoy the Mx-5 races on iRacing. I agree 100% the inputs have to be very intentional or you upset the balance of the car and then it’s a struggle to get it back on track. I find with the MX-5 it’s all about carrying that momentum through the corners. Those downshift will have you spinning if your rpm’s are too high haha
Im no proffesional, but my reccomendation: Try and get some exposure in sim racing, then you get the entitlement to do coaching 😂 See where coaching brings you.
Brother, right now you are too focused on the actual driving aspect of this project. You understand that sponsors are the path to a career but I don’t think you’ve fully shifted your mindset to selling yourself to sponsors. I reached out to a small race track owner in my town offering to work in sound and video production with their broadcasting team. I was hired and put in charge of creating their TH-cam channel. As they already have a pretty big following, soon we will be monetized on TH-cam and I’ll be making him money. Once the channel has grown to an impressive amount, I will ask the owner to sponsor me. I’ve been with the company I work for full time going on 3 years, still a fairly new business. I’ve been a solid employee and have come up with a couple successful marketing campaigns with the company. The race track I would mainly race at is in a town 30 minutes from our shop and we have zero business out here. If the company wrapped my car 10k+ local people would see their advertisement every weekend just during the live event, that’s not including replays and highlights. The point of all this is nobody will hand you anything. You’re not a product or a tool, you’re a human being and you need to create relationships. Hope this is helpful, I know you will obtain this goal one day brother!
I agree with you 100%. I am pretty new to selling myself to sponsors but I am slowly getting deeper into this mindset. When I said that I need to start being more creative, I meant that I need to find the best way to get a name for myself in order to have something to offer to potential sponsors. I don't expect anyone to hand me anything. Creating relationships, finding my own niche and capitalizing on that is something I personally need to work on, moving forward!! I have started networking and talked with multiple people to figure out the best way to market myself. It's still in the works, but I will be updating you on this topic as well as my racing progress in my videos from now on. But thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate it and it gave me even more motivation to try even harder!! Cheers mate!!!
U got this man good luck, just stick to it.
Good luck
good luck on your journey to finding a sponsor.
Excited for your next steps!
How are you liking iRacing compared to ACC?
