Well done Sir! That route sounds like a very scenic one which you'd never get bored of running but on the other hand, you need to keep your wits about you in case you come across blooming BMWs and Audis. The drivers of whom think they own the road but a bus is the ideal way to show who really is boss! lol
I've been on these buses before. The small size makes them ideal for countryside routes. But if the bus was any wider I think it would struggle to fit down those narrow lanes.
Mole I work for citysightseeing Belfast I live in Northern Ireland our translink optare solos the 2006 ones are rubbish the 2003 and 2000 versions are comfortable my company I work for I pay insurance and tax and drive a ex translink optare solo it’s comfortable I drive it on hotel shuttles and it’s completely comfortable don’t know what you on mate
I've got to say the driver was a bit of a nob there. He had just past a little widening of the road lay by on he's right hand side however still made the car reverse instead of him not to mention making the car reverse at a tight bend! I'm sorry but if I was driving that car I wouldnt be moving and be telling the bus driver " no you go back there!"
I've driven buses for over 30 years and these vehicles are the worst l've ever known. Pathetic turning circle, cab layout is shite and there's nowhere to store your work bag. Useless down narrow roads, you spend most of your time either bouncing off the kerb or mounting the pavement because the front wheels are in the wrong place. (Any vehicle with the wheels in front of the driver is not a bus). The whole vehicle looks gormless and it's like the old saying ; If something doesn't look right,it usually isn't. Overall, they're absolute shite and whoever designed them wants shooting!
Completely agree, I used to feel slightly twisted in the cab almost like the pedals were slightly further to the right than they should have been. You’re right about the space though tha amount of times I’ve set the emergency alarm off trying to squeeze a bag between the window and seat is ridiculous 😂 and that extra little bubble front pillar on some really tight junctions wouldn’t half reduce the view
Lovely cute Optare :3 woohoo ❤

I totally agree with you there
Superb scenery, keep on sharing, excellent videos 👍

Nice scenery and good driving skills.
Hulleys routes are actually quite decent haha. Very nice
By the way, very nice push and pull steering!
I hope that got its tracking fixed. Its wheel goes left when the bus is going straight 😂
Wish I could drive down roads like these
Opiate driver cabs are so restricted and uncomfortable
It’s also like driving a boat

What happens if you have to pass a car on the narrow streches?

Doesn’t work like that, you give way to larger vehicles regardless.
Forgot how nice solos are
Are you insane???
They're not nice, they're cheap crap.
Tbh they are only nice for like staff shuttle or a very tiny town circular otherwise they should of been school only buses for schools to buy
Solos although most are not that great are ideal for tight routes especially the slimline spec
Yeah for tight routes I prefer a wright streetlite or any small coach
@@ImArKaYor streetlites or shitlites are shit I more rather drive a solo
Bus company?
Hulleys of Baslow
