When I was younger my hair would only grow down a little past my shoulders. I was constantly losing hair and it was extremely thin. I use to wash my hair every other day and use what ever shampoo. Then 7 year's year's ago I started washing it once a week maybe once every other week, and adding vitamin d3 oil to my scalp leaving it in after washing it with dove bar soap. At night I put in a leave in conditioner. My hair is now past my butt, extremely thick and heavy and I absolutely LOVE it. I haven't cut my hair in seven years and won't, and I only brush my hair when I wash it. The one thing I don't like about having long hair is for me my hair is so long that it feels like dead weight. I can't really style it in cute styles anymore or even wear a simple ponytail because it's so heavy. When I would wear it in a ponytail I would get massive headaches. So now I just do one simple long braid. But if anyone is struggling with growing their hair out you guy's should try this technique.
if you want to cut your hair for practical reasons, you have every right to do so! please don't let people saying you shouldn't sway you. my hair was very long for years and cutting it was a great decision. when it's time, it's time.

I feel like Double Dutch braids look amazing on you and since there’s not much hair flying around it won’t get in the way as much and affect your daily activities my hairs pretty long and that’s just my go to most days

This is the length I'm currently going for! 😃 Though my curl pattern is 3a/3b/3c + 4a, I'm noticing that now my hair is getting longer, the shrinkage is slowly decreasing. Even the part that is 4a, is slowly decreasing and transforming to 3c. I wonder what my shrinkage will be like, when my hair is as long as yours... You have beautiful hair 🥰
Your hair is beautiful I don't know how you manage it, I couldn't. If you want to cut your hair cut it will still be super long and you're just keeping it healthy and strong.
You added confidence that I can grow my hair long again. Mine was waist length and would go a year without cutting it but looking back at pictures it was so dry. Now I know more hair knowledge and use better hair products so I’m trying to grow it out long again but healthier, thicker, and stronger. Hair can grow if you take care of it. Also, people have to realize being biracial, your hair will grow faster. My mother in law is half black and half white, and her hair grew like a weed. So growing hair out fast and long is gonna be easier if you are mixed. It will take a lot to deal with it, I know, my daughters hair is naturally curly, but it can be done. Patients is the answer!

Castor oil is very thick and the little hairs in the front castor oil flattens them. Just add some oil and brush after adding it. Do it after you washed your hair. hair has to be damped. Then use a soft bristle brush to brush it. it really works.

You have patience! My hair is about 3 inches past boob length currently. I think I'll grow it to the point where it is long enough to be a few inches past waist length then I'll cut and trim so I don't sit on it. All the best!

I Love seeing your hair this long! But I can just imagine how heavy and difficult it might be to manage. I think you should cut a foot at a time… like go to bottom of your okole first since it’s past knee length. Then go to waist length if that’s still too hard to manage. Just a suggestion

When my hair get that long (☺️speaking it into existence…the Lords Willing) I will always have to cut it to a manageable desired length and donate… my goodness so much beautiful hair I wouldn’t know what to do at that point wearing it down wouldn’t be an option for me 😆

If it's getting too long to handle, trying cutting it to hip length! It's still super long but you'll be able to wear it down more easily :)
