Very nice! Thank you! I have an oily scalp so I will try the bentonite. FYI: I learned first-hand a decade ago that most bentonite clays are laced with lead. After having been notified, and realizing I had symptoms, I searched for a natural detox (which worked) and discovered from a NY doc that the only pure bentonite is from WYOMING and is called Pascalite. Small, family-owned business. Pascalite is very moisturizing, too.
I have dry straight hair and the clay she uses makes my hair so soft and gives it so much body. It’s lovely. Leaving it sit on the Jaír about 5 to 10 min really helps take the oiliness out but my hair feels soft and amazing
Beautiful hair! My daughter and I have been using these techniques and following you since November of 2022 and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Less washing is saving time and the products actually are less expensive than modern shampoos and conditioners.

I tried your clay hair wash for a few months and my hair loves it! Waves are shiny and defined, and my hair and scalp feel clean. I still shampoo and condition every now and then after coloring my hair, but use this wash quite often now. Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏼❤

I have thin hair that is almost shoulder length. Im using rice water shampoo and conditioner. I use honey instead of soap twice a week from head to toe. Have you tried honey? Its great as a facial. Just use warm water then wash with honey. Let set up to 5 minutes. Then wash with warm water. You will smell like honey. I have used coconut oil as a mask and a mix with honey. I suggest you try adding a egg that is beaten with oil and honey. Using a bbq brush brush this on your scalp and from roots to ends. Then let stay 24 hours at least. You can do this several times. Then wash out. Your hair will be hard but it will be very soft afterwards.
I may try that egg honey and oil...in the past I tried something similar but didn't work that well but this recipe using oil makes the difference as opposed to mayonnaise...TY.
Love this routine and your calming video and voice. I’ve been using this routine for years and once in awhile I will try a “natural” shampoo and I go right back to the clays. Your hair is gorgeous! 💖🌺
Using clay this often really dries out your hair, which you can see with the tangles and the frizz. If your hair is more dry then you don’t need clay every week, clay is super clarifying. Once per month should be enough. In between clay washes try Sidre Powder (also known as Zysyphus) or a conditioning cleanser, like the one from Bounce Curl, there are no nasties in this, it cleanses effectively but is super mild. Also a deep conditioner would be advisable every now and then.
GORGEOUS, your hair is perfect 🥰 If I could choose a curl pattern. I would choose yours. I learned to love my 3c/4a hair. My hair shrinks a lot, but it's healthy.
Dear Katherine, thank you. Slowly I am implementing your advice on natural hair products. Before I was confused as to why my hair would be so dry but you have explained that ..process.. of adjustment from conventional to natural. Maybe make a video on this issue? 1 first time, I stopped using natural hair shampoo was because of extreme dryness, and in addition to this, I color my hair. Now I use just natural shampoo, still adjusting and need conditioner, but it is much better. Now I will start to implement more clay washes and give myself some time. God bless you. xxx
Love your channel. Switching to clay washing has literally made my hair thicker and it does not break at all anymore (btw I have type 4 hair). I’ve been introducing my mom to your haircare routine.
Hello and thank you for your videos! My hair is quite similar to how yours looked when you cut it short years ago. I've been integrating many of your gentle hair care techniques and they are helping - so grateful to find alternatives that feel right! I'm wondering about protective styles while my hair is still shorter - pretty curly, dry, a little longer than shoulder length, and very prone to getting bleached and damaged by the sun and eveything else. Would be so grateful for ideas of how to wear it while waiting for it to grow!
Thank you soo much for your washday routine and techniques. I'm glad I've clicked on your video. I am using Rhassoul clay wash one in six weeks and my hair loves it.
I have a question. Do you wash your children's hairs with clay too? And what about your husband, does he use clay wash? Asking, because I would love to switch to gentler ways to wash hair for my whole family 😊
I don't have experience with clay, but I use honey water for my child's hair. Also since clay is natural and mild, I think it's totally okay to try it on children too.
I have been doing it for 5 months now and I am almost ready to give up. I have been looking for some natural hair care routine all my life and when I came across your channel I was very happy. But it should be stated that it is for dry or normal hair. I have straight and oily hair and after following your advice with Rhassoul and and lately Bentonite clay, washing twice, vinegar rinses I have to admit my defeat. I like the feeling my hair is fuller than after regular shampoo but since the sebum is spread all over the length of it, it takes ages to dry. Several hours in my case. The difference is that after using the regular shampoo I have a day of "normalcy", while here as soon as my hair dries I need to use cornstarch. Without it I should stay at home or wear a head covering. Social interaction like dancing or hugging is absolutely impossible because my hair is oily and stinks. I have been using herbs/herbal rinses all my life but it cannot be done with vinegar. The plus is I can feel baby hair growing and I love it so I am really torn.
you are right this routine isn't a one size fits all! It sounds like you would benefit from using a clarifying shampoo. You can still use natural products after clarifying shampoo so you have the benefits of them. But a clogged scalp and grease build up isn't healthy for scalp/hair and clairfying shampoo would help :) a natural brand works.
It’s been a while, but I ordered your recommended hair dryer last year and I love it. I have fine, wavy (and aging, thus prone to breakage) hair. The hair dryer dries my hair quickly without ruining the curls and waves. Having control over the heat setting, as low as room temperature, which, I believe, you primarily use, means no damage. It’s excellent quality and worth every penny. So, thank you for that great recommendation!
Thank you so much for this video! I love your calm, soothing voice and also the nuggets shared 💖 I've always wanted to be more natural hair care wise and my hair responds well to the clay. I couldn't believe it, but my curls actually seemed more elongated?? Which was exactly what i wanted 😍 I've not read much about that happening for others, though Have ordered more clay and will check back with my results after a couple of months! See you later 💕💕💕
I did this and my hair felt lovely and minimal hair fall, but I think I used too many drops of rosemary oil in the clay because my hair is now quite oily and took ages to dry. I used 2 tblsp clay to 2 cups water, 10 drops rosemary oil, followed by ac rinse. I will try no drops of oil tomorrow, followed by maybe 2 or 3 drops next time! I have slightly wavy, thin 24 inch hair.
Washing with braids in the hair causes less tangles too and way less curl manipulation. You can also do a few twists and wash then gently take out twists.
Beautiful, I’m enjoying the process as an oily straight haired lady, some parts I’ve had to altar, I actually love the longer hair care process. Thank you so much!
I tried this routine for the 1st time and OMG, my hair looks amazing!!! I have curly hair (3b, 3c) and my curls are really defined and shiny for cheap (my normal routine costs 176€ vs 37€ here without counting the cost of tools). Let's see how it goes in the long term, I hope to see growth. I did pre-poo with coconut oil, detangled with my hands, did 4 braids (even though my hair is way shorter), washed with rhassoul (I let it sit for 3 minutes), rinced with ACV that I let in my hair (I used to rince with ACV a few years ago so my hair is used to it), then I styled it with my denman brush and flaxseed gel (I put some hibiscus in it for the color), let my hair dry first with my diffuseur in cold air then naturally and I finished with broccoli oil (known for being light on the hair and is anti frizz). I don't know how long it will lasts, I hope it will stay that way for at least 3 days then I will do protective hairstyle. I hope I will remember this comment to do an update for 1st month 3rd month, 6th month and 1st year.
Hey! Thanks for this routine! Quick question- I've noticed that my scalp is waayyy too oily for the mostly liquid clay mixture to clean completely. Do you recommend thickening the mixture or should I just increase the number of clay washes?
When I wash my hair with this clay, my hair feels thick l, but also feels dirty when it dries... no matter how much I rinse it afterward. I also apply the apple cider vinegar rinse before leaving the shower. Should I do something else to make it not feel dirty? PS: My hair is very thin and curly. THANK YOU!
I would add a small amount of the vinegar in with the clay, and a small amount of extra water. If that doesn’t work, maybe add in just a half capful of a natural shampoo.
So, like you never comb out your hair? Also, if you dig down about a foot in the dirt in our yard, from there on down, over our whole property, is a beautiful thick red clay. Will that work, mixed with water?
ACV really changed my hair. Its never been as strong and manageable as it is with that simple ingredient i may have to try this as well! I also made my own wet dry shampoo which is great for keeping hair dry and smelling good even after a good workout.
@@somethingspecial1415 I use it as a rinse before shampooing my hair. I mix 1 tbsp in a bottle with a scalp nozzle or pointed nozzle and get it on my scalp mostly and then down the hair shaft. Leave In For 10-15 minutes and then shampoo.
Great video Katherine! I hope you and your lovely family are settling into your new home. Remember not to push yourself too hard with doing too many things at one time. Take care:)
You have gorgeous hair!!! Thank you for sharing your routine!!! I used to use rhassoul clay but stopped because it’s so messy. The benefits are definitely worth the clean up. ❤❤❤
Rhassoul clay and ACV used to work for me, but really dried out my hair after I changed my diet because my scalp stopped being as oily. I have tailbone length hair as well, but it’s wavy. I’ve been water only washing for about a month and a half. My hair has so much more volume now, it’s wavier, and not as frizzy, but my hair’s still adjusting because it feels a little gummy and looks kind of greasy. I’ve struggled a lot with my hair and I’ve tried everything. Hopefully the water only washing method will be the answer to my problems.
I always look forward to your new videos. I like your new electric scalp massager! I couldn't find the link for it. I didn't see it in your hair recommendations either. Plz link it (when you have time 😊)
Your hair is so pretty!!! And it truly looks perfectly clean too. Whenever people say they don’t use shampoo I feel like their hair rarely ever looks properly clean but yours definitely does :) you should look into Ayurvedic hair care!! Ayurveda has tons of natural remedies for hair growth and grooming. Shikakai is literally a natural plant based surfactant! Makes a killer natural shampoo for when you need something more clarifying than the clay. And herbs like amla and fenugreek make fantastic masks for nourishing and moisturizing the hair!! I make a mask with amla, fenugreek and whole milk and my curls always look amazing right after a mask!! Sometimes I also add honey or beef tallow if I want a bit extra moisture :) I love natural hair care!! I’m gonna have to try the rassoul clay sometime 🫶🏼
Thank you for sharing your hair care techniques! I have straight, white Asian hair, but it helped my hair to grow longer than it has ever grown in my whole life. I just trimmed it, but it grew at its longest to my waist! Unfortunately, after going through 4 whole packages of the Rhassoul clay (same brand that you used), the fifth package of clay looked different and left a yellow tinge to my hair. I tried it a few times, always ending up with a yellow tinge. Do you have any suggestions/recommendations? Thank you! Rose
Hey! I was looking through some reviews for different brands of clay and some of those brands had negative reviews because of the issue you're talking about, but some of them didn't. I would start using a different brand and just read the other reviews to make sure that the product's quality hasn't changed:)
Thank you very much for this wonderful video🌷It is better to use towels made from organic (because of the microplastic in it) cotton, but this is for very crunchy girls.
Thanks for demonstrating. Fools like me literally need to be shown practical stuff. I bought a L the stuff n never used it. I live the massager but hardly used it. But now it will do this
I tried clay washing on my last two washes. One big difference is that my ends are no longer snapping off!! I can pull more and more fairy knots free and my hair is getting incredible shine and much better definition straight from the shower. My only problem is getting ALL the clay rinsed out
I’ve been struggling with dry curly wavy salt pepper hair for 7 years now. I am curious to try this, can you please tell me how this holds up with hard water? Thank you

Love this routine and your calming video and voice. I’ve been using this routine for years and once in awhile I will try a “natural” shampoo and I go right back to the clays. Your hair is gorgeous! 💖🌺
I have type 4a and 3c curls and coils and this is the method I use to cleanse my hair as well. Simplistic and natural. ❤
Sidr also dries your hair how would you suggest using it in this case?
GORGEOUS, your hair is perfect 🥰 If I could choose a curl pattern. I would choose yours. I learned to love my 3c/4a hair. My hair shrinks a lot, but it's healthy.
My granddaughter and I do a clay face mask now and then and it's really fun and she loves it as well 😊
You and your hair are beautiful!❤
Dear Katherine, thank you. Slowly I am implementing your advice on natural hair products. Before I was confused as to why my hair would be so dry but you have explained that ..process.. of adjustment from conventional to natural. Maybe make a video on this issue? 1 first time, I stopped using natural hair shampoo was because of extreme dryness, and in addition to this, I color my hair. Now I use just natural shampoo, still adjusting and need conditioner, but it is much better. Now I will start to implement more clay washes and give myself some time. God bless you. xxx
this is pure gold right here thank you for sharing this for free with the world
Love your channel.
These videos are so relaxing
Upload more hair growth videos 😊
You need to shorten your hair until manageable. No way can you do this with long hair. Wash with just water daily if you have too.
@@cf393 are you telling them to cut their hair? Hell no.
@@touchmossis there a non-toxic clarifying shampoo you recommend?
@@flowersafeheart I love "The Grandpa Soap co." Clairfy shampoo. it's gentle but works well! I've seen it at some grocery stores.
Thank you for your videos. I do have an important question. My hair is naturally platinum. Will the clay turn it brown ??????
I now have a red & brassy tint to my hairs from Rhassoul clay.
What is your hair color?
It’s been a while, but I ordered your recommended hair dryer last year and I love it. I have fine, wavy (and aging, thus prone to breakage) hair. The hair dryer dries my hair quickly without ruining the curls and waves. Having control over the heat setting, as low as room temperature, which, I believe, you primarily use, means no damage. It’s excellent quality and worth every penny. So, thank you for that great recommendation!
Ooh which hairdryer is this, could you please share?
Thank you so much for this video! I love your calm, soothing voice and also the nuggets shared 💖
I've always wanted to be more natural hair care wise and my hair responds well to the clay. I couldn't believe it, but my curls actually seemed more elongated?? Which was exactly what i wanted 😍 I've not read much about that happening for others, though
Have ordered more clay and will check back with my results after a couple of months! See you later 💕💕💕
Thank you for this! You are so beautiful and your hair is amazing. I struggle with growing my curls past my shoulders so I'll have to give this a try~
I cut my waist length hair and OMG I regret it. Now I am wanting to grow it back out ASAP. Thanks for this video!
Beautiful, I’m enjoying the process as an oily straight haired lady, some parts I’ve had to altar, I actually love the longer hair care process. Thank you so much!
Do you think it’s ok to use red Rhassoul Clay instead of the greenish brown Rhassoul Clay?
How is it going now?
I also wanna know. And how long this keeps your curls looking good in comparison to over the counter products
I was wondering if this stains your bathtub at all. Also does this help with severely dry scalp. I have an extremely dry, itchy and flaky scalp
You said you can use a wash out conditioner after clay wash? But before acv rinse, correct?
Hey! Thanks for this routine!
Quick question- I've noticed that my scalp is waayyy too oily for the mostly liquid clay mixture to clean completely. Do you recommend thickening the mixture or should I just increase the number of clay washes?
Following! I’m wondering the same thing
I agree, even when we are in the mood to use hair dye for at home application, we should always use glass bowls. Glass is always better and friendly.
@@Leah_F. thank you!!
So, like you never comb out your hair?
Also, if you dig down about a foot in the dirt in our yard, from there on down, over our whole property, is a beautiful thick red clay. Will that work, mixed with water?
In that postpartum hair care with you ❤ our babies were so close!
ACV really changed my hair. Its never been as strong and manageable as it is with that simple ingredient i may have to try this as well! I also made my own wet dry shampoo which is great for keeping hair dry and smelling good even after a good workout.
Hi,how do you use acv on your hair?
@@somethingspecial1415 I use it as a rinse before shampooing my hair. I mix 1 tbsp in a bottle with a scalp nozzle or pointed nozzle and get it on my scalp mostly and then down the hair shaft. Leave In For 10-15 minutes and then shampoo.
@@YeaNo. thanks!
@@somethingspecial1415 np I forgot to say fill the rest of the bottle with water to dilute it! That's very important 😂 acv is extremely acidic.
@@YeaNo. thxz,have you experienced any growth ?
So, did you mix the clay with regular water, bottled water, tonic water? And what kind of essential oils did you use?
I think she uses half water and aloe juice. The clay bottle mix for her scalp she added peppermint.
@@hannahr.n.5791where do u get authentic aloe juice??
Great video Katherine! I hope you and your lovely family are settling into your new home. Remember not to push yourself too hard with doing too many things at one time. Take care:)
I really appreciate how detailed your videos are. Really helps a newbie like me. I'm already seeing results after two weeks. Thank you! 😊
You have gorgeous hair!!! Thank you for sharing your routine!!! I used to use rhassoul clay but stopped because it’s so messy. The benefits are definitely worth the clean up. ❤❤❤
This clay moisturize my hair and make it feel softer but I still need to add shampoo to clean all the oil.
Hey 👋 love you videos. Do you have any tips on getting the clay out of your hair properly....? I find my eyes are irritated for days after washing 😔
I always look forward to your new videos.
I like your new electric scalp massager!
I couldn't find the link for it. I didn't see it in your hair recommendations either.
Plz link it (when you have time 😊)
I love your amazing cloths and how gutsy you r! I would never have the courage to shower on you tub. Your like a fairy tail princess!
I’m getting the last elements I need this month, so I will be starting your routine soon. Yay!
You are a brilliant natural hair care genius! Thank you for your advice!
Hi Katherine happy Friday night and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Thank you for the video but can you please let us know what kind of essential oil are you using????
Love your videos! Can I ask one about your nighttime skincare routine?
Absolutely beautiful ❤ you are one of my hair goals!
My sister thank you for sharing, ❤
Thank you for sharing Katherine!
I'd love to try this routine! Thank you for sharing. Does the clay cause problems in the shower plumbing?
Your eyebrows are so mesmerizing for some reason!
Hi. What are the oils you used? Thanks
Thank you very much for this wonderful video🌷It is better to use towels made from organic (because of the microplastic in it) cotton, but this is for very crunchy girls.
Hi, Katherine.🌼🌺 Can you please share what scalp massager this is?
Would you be able to send the link of the electric scalp massager please. Thank you.
Wow, you are so pretty! Thanks for sharing.
I use for a long time vegan shampoo & conditioner with tea tree oil
Hi Katherine ,thank you for your great tips ,lots of love from the South of France💚
Thanks for demonstrating. Fools like me literally need to be shown practical stuff. I bought a
L the stuff n never used it. I live the massager but hardly used it. But now it will do this
I tried clay washing on my last two washes. One big difference is that my ends are no longer snapping off!! I can pull more and more fairy knots free and my hair is getting incredible shine and much better definition straight from the shower. My only problem is getting ALL the clay rinsed out
Can I substitute it for Bentonite clay ? Thanks for sharing will have to give it a try. I suffer from itchy dry scalp and oily scalp.
What is the music? Thank you for your lovely videos.
Where did you find that scalp massager?
Where do you buy your shampoo brush? I need to get one to use after washing my hair
you have such nice eyebrows! also beautiful hair
What were the other ingredients that you added to the clay?, You added two different essential oils and I believe vinegar If I'm not mistaken? Thanks
So you apply the clay mixture without wetting your hair first?
Thank you for sharing! I LOVE the apron you have on at the end of the video. Might you share where you got it?
Thank you so much for this video! You answered every question I had, at least for now :)
God bless you :)
Hey, if anyone is looking for an even lighter oil for oily hair I've recently found and fallen in love with apricot oil. 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you kindly! I appreciate this suggestion 👍 Would you say apricot oil even lighter than almond oil?
@moonmaidenn Apricot kernel oil has lower viscosity as compared to the almond oil, so yes, it will be lighter than the almond oil❤
I’ve been struggling with dry curly wavy salt pepper hair for 7 years now. I am curious to try this, can you please tell me how this holds up with hard water? Thank you
That's one awesome huge garden!
