Am I the only one that thinks it’s crazy that Kratos is using a weapon forged in Hades underworld and uses them in Helheim? Two different hells one imbues with ice the other fire?
I think it's cool (no pun intended). The mythology works with the environments of the country. In the north - you can die a cruel death by cold. In the south, the heat destroys everything you need to survive. Either way, it's uncomfortable. So why not make these extremes their hell?
ghostoftime1 Idk. You have to remember these hells are completely different realms of their own. Scorpion's virtual immortality may keep him alive but Sub-Zero is just a superhuman. Kratos' weapons were forged by a god, and I doubt he'd live through this if he didn't have said blades. Idk I just think the GoW universe is in a completely different league of its own compared to Mortal Kombat.

the dwarves are really nice addition to the game, the fact they reunite is even more nice, i like the fact they actualy CARE about kratos and atreus is so cool, they aren't JUST shopkeepers, they are IN the story.
Say what you will . Kratos does love his son, very dearly I say, he just can’t express it, he literally doesn’t know how. His whole life was being about killing, mostly for revenge , now he’s taking up his old blades the reminders of his crimes to delve into a new hell and save his son.
There's a glitch to where you can upgrade the blades of Chaos to the max here. Right before you kill the gate keeper save it. Then kill the gate keeper take the orbe then load up the last save hit the gate keeper once to kill it again and then take the order again do it 4 times and u upgrade them to the max right then

I love how Brok doesn't hesitate for a second when he offers to fight by Kratos side to save atreus. The blue dwarf might be a rude bastard that talks like a drunk sailor, but still is an awesome friend
Love all the new friends kratos makes in this game. Mimir calling him brother, brok and sindri pretty much always expressing concern of kratos and atreus. After everything that's going to happen, I hope those three stick around
To see that kratos finally meet someone (well, more than one person if you count mimir and others) who's genuinely want to help him make me really warm and fuzzy inside
I think this why Kratos respect Brok more so than Sindri because in story he was more around brok and brok was eager to help him without hesitation when he heard about his son and he kinda did with transfer of helheim magic
Could you imagine, he just hands his blades to a realm shifting dwarf and never sees them again. This isn't a comedy but the few jokes that are sprinkled in are really really funny

I like the Dwarves. Despite Kratos’ attitude, they legitimately want to help him. They might not be fighters, but I bet Brok was feeling pretty useless not being able to help the kid. That’s why he chased after Kratos into Hel to upgrade his Blades...plus Kratos was kinda fucked without him.

well dwarves are commonly depicted as quite harsh so kratos' attitude can easily be a step or 2 harsher than what brok and sindri would consider friendly for their race.

Kratos said that he buried him in all of Spartan customs. But we all know that the Last Spartan's corpse was eaten by Kraken. My headcanon is Kratos 2 different stories into 1. He told the boi about who Atreus of Sparta was and the burial part was from Deimos' burial.

That scene is really important for the series. The dwarves are, in the norse mythology, the BEST blacksmiths in all the nine realms, they forged Mjölnir for Thor, the greatest weapon in all Asgard, and Brock saying the blades are "special" just shows how perfect Hephaestus' work really is
Hephastus is a god after all. The dwarves while being the best black smiths in Norse Mythology are still mortals. It's extremely impressive how they could make Mjolnir considering how powerful it's being hyped up to be

The Wykkyd One in chronologic order: Blades of Chaos: in GoW Ascention, GoW Chains of Olympus and GoW 1; Blades of Athena: GoW Ghost of Sparta and GoW 2; Blades of Exile: GoW 3 there's some confusion about how Kratos still had Blades of Chaos because in God of War 1 (the last game where chronologically he have that swords), in the fight with Ares he lost that weapons, or at least Kratos was stripped off of the Blades by Ares... that's why Athena gave to him the Blades of Athena, and become the new God of War...
Dude I'm a dad and this game had me in tears. Every dad should play this game. How far a man will go for his family. Confroting his past and trying to make up for it by teaching it to his kids.
What I love here is that when Brok says "That;'s gotta be a family heirloom" and Kratos answer with a big "NO", I immediately undertstood why Kratos would be so against the kid inheriting them.
Blades of Chaos are probably equal in quality to the hammer. Just imagine how Brok would react if he saw the Blade of Olympus. He would crap himself. Even with the magic spell, I am pretty sure it would strip away the invulnerability of Baldur. Baldur would likely have to willingly have his power drained, but I think it would undo Freya's spell.
If the spell works in the manner that it did in myth(which is by no means certain), Freya extracted a promise from EVERYTHING in the nine realms to not harm Balder. The blades are not from the nine realms.
It might be possible since the Blade itself was crafted by Zeus the king of the Greek Gods himself and he's many times stronger than Freya in term of power and magic, the Blade's magic could be strong enough to rip off Baldur's curse or even destroy Mjolnir or Gungnir in its full potential/power.

Kratos has been betrayed his entire life, always fighting alone but he gives the blades of chaos to brok, it shows he trusts the dwarves and are real allies to him.
more like the dwarf literally cannot steal them so he does not need to trust the dwarf in any way. The blades are cursed to always return to him this is why he even has them in this game he threw all the weapons away but the blades just keep on coming back.

Judging by Brok’s nature, I’d assume he’d be stoked the most either for Hades’ Claws or the Nemean Cestus. Sindri would probably like the Nemesis Whip better since it’s more “elegant” in a certain way

there's some confusion about how Kratos still had Blades of Chaos because in God of War 1 (the last game where chronologically he have that swords), in the fight with Ares he lost that weapons, or at least Kratos was stripped off of the Blades by Ares... that's why Athena gave to him the Blades of Athena, and become the new God of War...

Dude I'm a dad and this game had me in tears. Every dad should play this game. How far a man will go for his family. Confroting his past and trying to make up for it by teaching it to his kids.
What I love here is that when Brok says "That;'s gotta be a family heirloom" and Kratos answer with a big "NO", I immediately undertstood why Kratos would be so against the kid inheriting them.

Blades of Chaos are probably equal in quality to the hammer. Just imagine how Brok would react if he saw the Blade of Olympus. He would crap himself. Even with the magic spell, I am pretty sure it would strip away the invulnerability of Baldur. Baldur would likely have to willingly have his power drained, but I think it would undo Freya's spell.
If the spell works in the manner that it did in myth(which is by no means certain), Freya extracted a promise from EVERYTHING in the nine realms to not harm Balder. The blades are not from the nine realms.

It might be possible since the Blade itself was crafted by Zeus the king of the Greek Gods himself and he's many times stronger than Freya in term of power and magic, the Blade's magic could be strong enough to rip off Baldur's curse or even destroy Mjolnir or Gungnir in its full potential/power.

To be honest he didn't kill any god with the blades of chaos. Ares doesn't count since he ripped them away before kratos used it to finish him off.
Kratos has been betrayed his entire life, always fighting alone but he gives the blades of chaos to brok, it shows he trusts the dwarves and are real allies to him.
more like the dwarf literally cannot steal them so he does not need to trust the dwarf in any way. The blades are cursed to always return to him this is why he even has them in this game he threw all the weapons away but the blades just keep on coming back.
