Saw "Airport '77" in 1977 in a swiss mountain cinema, as a 14 year old. Awesome movie. And then, many years later, I became a Boeing 747 Captain and to this day I still love to fly the Queen. Just landed the -8 this morning. Thank's for uploading, Frankie.
1st Generation 747. This plane carried more passengers and after replacing the 707. Airport 75 and 77 featured 747s. Sadly the 747 had to be retired as a passenger jet but still does the cargo portion with the 747-8.
I find it hilarious that in the film the owner buys the biggest commercial aircraft, which is designed for maximum efficiency, and turns it into the most impractical plane in the skies. Stevens Corporation would’ve lost tons of money on that thing.
I was a A Die Hard Airlines kid ✈️ so this was my fav movie back in 1977. Love the Histoy of the Steven Corporation 747 😎

Saw "Airport '77" a few years ago, and I thought it was good. The effects were cool and the cast was nice.
This was fantastic, actually, despite the AI voice. Cannot believe United bought it so late in its service life.

It was not called Airport 70. It was just Airport
