Hope you could find something to tickle your fancy 😊 We just put up a community post with things I got from the sale, and a few recommendations. Specifically XCom 2 for $2. Absolute steal!
@@TeamPandory I saw a few things that were interesting, mostly the lesser known indies are bangers! For that price, I dont mind xcom, although I know Ill never play it hahah
@@ChuwiEnjoyer To be fair, I got into the series VERY early on (UFO enemy unknown) Even in the original you could make a team of friends, rank up, and turn the tides of an alien invasion, and it was nothing less than EPIC- ESPECIALLY in the early 90s. XCOM2 and even the remake XCOM is definitely recommended if you haven't tried them yet. - You never know, it could be one of the games you keep coming back to ;-)
Nice to see these little chaps can play some big titles, as long as you are willing to drop your expectations a little. Dave the Diver, I thought this was a game about...Oh, move along :)
I've been really toying with the idea of running just a mini pc and an egpu. Only need the egpu for some games with the um780xtx. When upgrade time comes, just picked up another mini OR another gpu, depending on the need.
I'd challenge you first to try out the UM780XTX WITHOUT egpu, see if you live with it for a few months. See how far you can push it by only changing graphic settings, and fiddling. TBH I find that an external GPU feels more like a hack, and ruin the aesthetic of using one of these little units.
Im with Pandory on this one, try it first without, make it work, then try something external. The bandwidth limits on an eGPU will also require you to tinker a bit, so its best to get used to it at least a little bit.
Hi! I selected "Performance" in BIOS settings, but for some unknown reason Rocket League still does not give 60-70 fps (like you have), but only 30-40. At the same time, I see that power consumption is never higher than 35W. What could be the reason? The mini PC is the same, the settings are the same, thanks to your detailed video.
@@missnoname1402 it sounds like you may have the resolution bumped up to 4k, or perhaps reinstall the graphics driver and make sure settings is set to default in the adrenaline settings. Is the FPS at a constant 30-40fps, or does it start high then start to throttle? If that is the case I'd try lowering the setting to balanced in the bios (my preference to be honest)
@@TeamPandory I have the same settings in the game as in your great video. FPS is initially and always in the range of 30-40 fps in Rocket League... I tried both "Balanced" and "Performance" - nothing helped. Is the problem in the third-party RAM and third-party SSD that I added myself? :(
@@TeamPandory To be honest, I only have 16 GB DDR5 (one stick), I didn't focus on it because I see that during the game I use only a little more than 8 GB. Could this be the reason why my game show very low results? I was able to get 70-75 fps only by setting everything to the lowest quality settings and 720p.

Asking to consider adding some 1440p benchmarks once in a while. Don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't consider anything less than 2560x1440 for a new monitor for a general purpose PC today.
@@ceeam eventually, yes - but there are few things we need to consider. 1. 1080p is still the most used resolution by a huge margin (57% Vs 19% according to Steam), and 2. This mini pc struggles to attain even 1080p in many situations. 3. Using 1440p when most game tests don't cover it makes it difficult to judge performance against other units. Tbh I use ultra wide 1440p, so there's even the question of which resolution to go with at that point. Might be more beneficial to just skip to 4k
If you're having stutter issues, 1. Raise BIOS GPU memory to 4GB (or higher) 2. In Fortnite options, choose Performance renderer at 720p, lower texture options to the middle option. View Distance can also be lowered for additional performance. Fortnite stutter is mostly due to large textures loading up in the distance.
The bottleneck is mainly the GPU. While you may be able to get slight improvements in BIOS, you'd get a better boost FPS in fortnite by simply dialing back the textures a little using the in-game options screen.
Seems like my 15 year old computer can still beat a lot of PCs. It has a i7-6700HQ with a GeForce GTX 965M GPU, 32g of RAM, 2 TB M.2 drive. I've been trying to find the least expensive route to beating that performance, but only seems that I'll have to build a PC to beat it for under $500.
I still have early 2010s to finish. this is perfect!!
Watching this on an M6, mostly for the game recommendations ;)
