Parade in Wonderland is a joyful celebration of childhood, capturing the thrill and excitement of an amusement park as seen through a child’s eyes. It reflects moments of pure happiness, filled with bright sounds and playful rhythms, much like the sights and sounds that accompany a lively parade. With its upbeat energy, Parade in Wonderland invites everyone to step back into the playful spirit of childhood, where every moment is an adventure, and happiness abounds around every corner.
The work is commissioned by Evelynn Esquivel and premiered by UMKC Clarinet Ensemble at UMKC Single Reed Day, October 27, 2024.
