Thank you Mr. Music213 for all your years of filming Southern California marching bands and all our visiting marching band friends! You filmed my high school marching band’s competitions from between 2011-2015 and I love going back and watching them fondly and showing my younger cousins who are interested in band now! 😊 thank you for preserving these special moments for so many young people! ❤ Happy New Year! 🎉

Loved seeing & hearing the Old Guard from D.C. The best at playing that style of music on the planet. Jackson State University seemed to get the audience appeal trophy with their "in your face" style and playing. Always impressed with the OSU Band as well with their all brass & percussion instrumentation. All of the students are to be congratulated for their performance at what I consider the best parade on earth even compared to Macy's in my opinion. The weather is usually so nice for this Southern California parade and the backdrop of Pasadena is such a nice touch. Thanks for posting this Music 123.
The orange devil or orange fairies the Kyoto tachibana shs band despite they are in smaller participants because they are only guest of this event still the best. No one can perform just what they are doing while playing. It's their fourth time to perform I guess. I think a guest band from other counties can only perform once in this rose parade but not for these orange fairies
Thank you,I'm biased as my son is in the band but it makes my heart happy to see them. All of these bands have worked so hard to get here. Seminole high let's every kid that loves music join. No tryouts. Some of our kids have never even played before until they join. Our instructors take time to share their knowledge and these kids just love every minute. It literally is a big family, with our community right behind them
That corner move was epic!!!!!! Seriously sat up and watched that 4-5 times. The crowd reaction was the confirmation that it wowed in person as well. Super great job what an impact
The Ohio State Band set itself for marching ability by their right turn. Fabulous marching discipline. Nobody else marched 14 wide. Nobody else came close. All brass too.
I always love the Marine Band, but the Navy Band sounded fantastic! It looked like mostly members of THE Navy Band from DC, too. Not as polished a look as USMC, but hearing them even from way down the street made me take notice. The other big surprise for me came from the 605 Band. Nice work, directors!!!
Without the HBCU band JSU, this parade would have been very boring and blah. Oregon sounded good but didnt look good. I guess they didnt get the MEMO that they were going to be on National TV so no uniforms. Ohio State did that turn and thats what sold me other than that I wasn't impressed.
Well, I have to say the Marine Corps band was the best. Every other band played such boring songs. They need music that excites the crowd. None of these bands excited the crowd. 👎🤷♀️

I marched with the USMC Band (72-74) and you're right, they did seem a little slower, dull and unremarkable this year.
