Walking Hadrians Wall and a Visit to Housesteads Roman Fortress in Northumberland! On a cold October day, we walk the wall heading west to Sycamore Gap, a location for a scene from Kevin Costner's Robin Hood Prince of Thieves! The Wall was also an inspiration for JRR Martin of Game of Thrones fame.
Here, you are stepping back in time to the first century AD, when Britain was occupied by the Romans. And, they even had flushing toilets! Which must have been mind boggling to the local Heathens too!
