- April 25th, 2023, I set off once again on a Coast to Coast from Bowness-on-Solway to South Shields via Hadrians wall and route 72.
This epic 4-day trip has been on my wish list for a long number of years.
This trail was a rollercoaster from start to finish, and I enjoyed every minute of it. (including the mile after mile of cycle ways)
I would like to thank Andrew at Bleatarn Farm for the awesome campsite
Doug at Haytongate snacks and St. Michaels Church for the free water.
last but not least, a massive thank you to my wife for supporting me .
Anything is possible.
Day 1 23.54 miles
Day 2 30.31 miles
Day 3 32.1 miles
Day 4 13.54 miles

At least you did it right, Arbeia fort at S/Shields is the correct start/finish of Hadrians Wall defences.
Great walk ! Know it well
Great walk
Excellent. Really enjoyed watching. Know the area well. My mother came from Haltwhistle
Thank you for watching its really appreciated
Well done mate, good trail vid and good to see somebody else went all the way to South Shields! Not many of us, eh? 👍 I did the HWP last year and my own videos. Had a great time! Subbed 👍 Justin
I remember watching your journey too Thanks for the sub👍🏻
Enjoyed this video, but the music to voice volume needs adjusting buddy ! Good footage though.
Sout Shields is my home town. Grew up very close to the fort and my first school is on its grounds
Great place to visit! I will definitely be back that way next year
Brilliant footage Rob !
brilliant film footage great to watch topman
The music😅
Looks as if you took the official diversion from the wall after Heddon on the Wall, down to the river. Nice walking, but I've never been quite happy with that part of the route taking you away from the course of the wall and some of its ruins. I think they thought they were saving tourists from locals or vice versa. Wasn't happy with the amount of litter and run down state of the section Newcastle to ferry either.
Yeah the amount of litter was absolutely shocking! And it was hard work on the feet too
@@freeman.walking That section opened with such a fanfare and council investment and then they forgot about it. shameful
