3:51 All you have to do is wash your hands before you handle the keyboard, especially for a video. Make sure not to touch your face or run your hands through your hair and you won't have as much oil on your fingers.
that’s the thing though, those shots where i leave my fingerprints on the case were directly after washing my hands touching your face and hair etc, will make it worse but the case will show fingerprints regardless
pretty much. Though I dont think thats bad at all. It leaves room for you to explore the hobby and allows smaller studios to really shine. And its also a limitation of both the budget range that they are working in and the scale of production that they have. Where smaller studios would be making a smaller quantity of boards, which allows for more interesting design in the same price range, these guys are keeping things instock all the time and has to ensure a certain quality which doesnt leave a lot of room for diverse design choice. Though knowing monsgeek, I think that might change in the future as they are a subset of akko which loves to do weird stuff. keychron is definitely more about being clean sleek looking so they probably wont be changing design any time soon.
I have a Keychron Q1 Knob Edition, it's basically the same as this keyboard but obviously with a different sound profile. It's an aluminum 75% (same layout as the M1) gasket mounted keyboard. It does take a bit of modding to make it sound good because of its pingy nature, but honestly, it's pretty easy to get rid of with some tape and thin packing foam.
A step up would be any of these 4 imo. Freebird75, MKC75, Zoom75, QK75. They are all 75% that follows a similar layout as this that offers a lot for the money. Though they are smaller drops that are time limited. An easier board to get thats a direct upgrade is the MOD007v3 from Akko which is the parent company of Monsgeek.
i give up to make flex of this keeb,so to make it thocky,i just double up masking, cloth and painter tape back of pcb, also at the bottom case when crazy put up stock ixpe foam dan 2mm goatskin leather just for fun...still no thock but poppy and crunchy, which is OKAY2..
The nature of gasket keebs goes against making it thocky. being so isolated doesnt leave a lot of room for the sound to transmit to the case which makes it deep. However, if you define thock as more of that poppy PE foam sound, then any board can be technically thocky. Gaskets are more known for being really clean and creamy sounding, as a benefit of the isolation of the switches and plate.
The Knob looks so Cheap as Hell

Monsgeek going to be the next keychron with the different layouts of the same design?
I'm interested

Can the monsgeek use durock v2 stabs? Im new and I want to have a good experience on my first build
What would be this same design keyboard with a knob but a step up in your opinion?

hi is the pcb 1.6 or 1.2.. and is spacebar 6u or 7u
1.2mm, 4 2u and 1 6.25u stabilizer for this board
@@Nubber1 shouldnt it be 3 2u? as there is only 1 regular shift, 1 backspace and 1 enter?

Gasket keyboards are almost never thocky. Not really at least...
