Feldenkrais for Low Back Pain | "Spine like a Chain"

  • This short Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement (ATM) lesson will help you to reduce low back pain and improve hip mobility.
    The lesson will be done lying on the floor. You need a mat or blanket and some space on the ground.
    The lesson is often called "Spine like a Chain". We also use the idea of balancing a glass of wine on your pubic bone.

    will it work laying on the bed as I can't get up and down from the floor

      Thank you for your message. Generally speaking Feldenkrais exercises should not be done in bed, because matresses are too soft, so it will be difficult to sense the subtle changes. However if you are not capable of lying on the floor, you can certainly try the lesson in bed (there is no negative side effect). If you have a low solid table at home I can also recommend lying on the table and do the movements. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have further questions.
