Personally, I was very surprised by Glen Grant Cask Haven 46% Just an amazing release with no indication of age (10-12 years old). I think that even an 18-year-old can’t reach him... Thanks for the review and huge Shalom from Israel 👋🏻
Many distilleries have ben going through brand image changes over the past couple years. Some have made major changes in their labels (such as BenRomach, Glenmorangie and Arran) while others have only made minor changes.
@@ErikWaitWhiskyStudiesyea I’ve noticed that. I’m not a fan of the new look Glenmorangie did with their 10, 12, 14. I just was wondering about Glen Grant 12 …Cause I love the previous bottle, it was more classy. This bottle is but juice is still good 😂
I have an unopened bottle of the GG 12, same label, comes in 1L presentation, is 48% ABV, and not chill filtered... waiting to be uncorked.... I hope that the extra 5% gives it that mouthfeel we really appreciate.... Thanks Erik 🥃
I agree with your notes Eric. Sharp at the neck pour and then it develops over time as easy front to back transition with no real nuances. It is a good value 43% percenter though.
Great review. This is my favourite basic Speyside. The apple/orchard flavour is always a draw. Unfortunately the 18 is wildly overpriced here in Alberta at $225.

Many thanks for the great Review Erik. Been to many distilleries, but the The setting and the surrounds of Glen Grant are magnificent.
My pleasure!
Nice concise review and still reasonably priced at around $45-49.00 in the Sacramento area.
I was pleasantly surprised with the Glen Grant 12 - definitely a hidden gem at $61 CDN (SAQ - Quebec).
To me Gran Grant begins to shine with the 15 year old. A very flavorful bottle at a really competitive price.

Question, why is your bottle and box different from the 12yr I have??? It has this teal strip on the side of the box now.
