I wouldn't mind having Crash 5 like this. The more open yet simpler level design is a really good blend between twinsanity, Crash 4 and Crash 1. I also love the secret area it's referencing the blue gem path in rolling stones!
In my opinion....
This level is a true homage to the jungle levels from Crash Bandicoot 1 and 2.

This looks like a really well made level and for it being a Mod is quite impressive, it has enough quality that it would fit in with the rest of the actual levels in the main game, all in all very cool.

This level mod is already awesome!
It looks so colorful that I love it, I would like a game like that of twinsanity style crahs or at least something similar, with being able to turn the camera, have time to explore and the platforming, and a good boss with very cool music
I agree, we need an open world crash game. Maybe you do tasks, challenges, and even linear levels around certain parts of the island and then you unlock other areas and the storyline progresses

Level editor would be nice, official one I mean. And an actual support for custom levels. I would love flashback tape style of levels but harder

With the custom camera, people could make a pretty nifty twinsanity remake
The only thing about this mod I don't like is the location of the hidden gem.
Unless you fall in by accident, there’s no clue to tell you that there’s anything down there.
Other than that, the creator of this mod seems to understand level design WAY better than Toys for Bob and I like it!
Where else you would put hidden gem. As you can move camera everywhere, it's hard to be creative unless putting it randomly OoB behind scenery. There is a reason it is "hidden" although maybe don't be like TfB and also put hidden boxes in same location. Level design is alright. Just some collisions/hitboxes are quite bad like those slopes with boulders and last vine at 3:09
@@Roskat Think of it this way: how would anyone think to jump down a seemingly random hole? You know, the thing you are taught to avoid at all costs?
All they needed to do was put something in there to make the player go "Oh hang on, what's going on here?" Little hints like that (without being overtly obvious) are great game design.
For instance, what if they stuck a Golden Wumpa below the TNT crates? Or something similar. Just enough to make the player curious.
@@greatsageclok-roo9013 I mean.. that would be obvious then. But if you found all hidden gems in c4, this is nothing new. In c3 way to access Eggipus Rex level is way more absurd. Longer level and having to die to certain random enemy.

Seeing a movable camera in Crash 4 is so weird.

The more games of crash, the better graphics but the worse crash's look. He looks more dumb each new game
