I just love how you took all the time to explain it so clearly and well and you didn’t take any shortcuts you did it from beginning to end just to show us this tutorial even though you won’t use this top thank you so much! 😭❤️
Great tutorial, love my first crochet top. If you're a bit wider take it into account when stitching the straps, I used 200 instead of 150 so I could make a nice long bow at the end.
I love your tutorials so much. Keep up the great work!!! They’re the best on TH-cam, and in spite of one of the earlier comments, your hair is beautiful😂❤️
haha thank you so much, you're awesome xD Yay! I'm so glad you enjoy my videos, & I am looking forward to sharing so many more projects with you all this summer!
I just finished this and I absolutely love it. I made too many foundation chains at first, but once I fixed that, I made it in stripes and love how it turned out. Thank you for this!
Thank you so much! I am glad you like it :D Many have been asking for tutorials on tops that are longer, so hopefully this one helps! (even though it's still a crop top - but all you would need to do to make it longer is crochet more rows :D )
It's a little sad that you have to take apart your projects :( I think if you set up a way for your subscribers to donate a dollar a month or something, a ton of people would do it! You provide so much free content with your videos and written patterns, I feel like you deserve to have an adequate amount of materials to be able to keep your pieces. With your subscriber count, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to collect some money for materials. I feel like it's only fair to donate at least a bit for all the work you do for free, if someone has the money to do so.
Melissa Herbert I have relatively small breasts but a large ribcase. And for fitting cups I used my desired yarn with the respective hook size and tried with 12 single loops and started doing the tutorial. And if it was too narrow in the end (but covered my boobs vertically) I started anew and added one or two single loops in the beginning (so 14). It was trial and error. After that I simply attached the two cups (the second I made exactly in the fashion as the last perfect approach of the first cup) and then single looped a chain that covered around my rib cage since I used buttons and not tied the chain in the back.
I made a rainbow top during my quarantine, it was my very first crochet top and it's amazing! Your tutorial is a piece of cake to understand, very detailed. Thank you so much ^^
Made one last week with a different back! I am in love, and I have gotten so many compliments on it, and some friends want me to make them one! One friend said she wanted to learn to crochet just to make one 😂❤️ Great tutorial
That's wonderful to hear! I'm so glad you are happy with your creation, and have even inspired your friends to take up crocheting as well! :D Thank you for taking the time to write this, experiences like this help motivate me to continue making tutorials! ❤️
You are so helpful. I have been trying to find patterns on how to crochet bras and halter tops. I find this super easy to follow and I cant wait to start making some of your patterns! Please keep making these videos!
Thank you for this! I think it would make the top look a little more neat if a proper decrease was used instead of just skipping the stitch and leaving little holes along the sides of the top. The double crochet two together (dc2tog) decrease
Your tutorial is the most easy to follow and beginner friendly for me ^_^ Keep up the good job and thank you so much. I'm not really fan of wearing a crop top (have a lot of belly fat that's why) so this tutorial of yours is so perfect for me.
Hi thanks for this great tutorial. :) One question though, after the first set of chains, when we start our double crochets do we skip 2 stitches? I couldn't tell if you skipped or did the first DC in the last chain. I'm quite new to crochet as you can probably tell lol. (LOVE it tho!) Thanks again for taking the time 🧶💟
@@luciawatson7043It's more commonly known as "decrease" or "dc2tog" (especially in patterns) and it's when you turn two stitches ino one I can link a video that explains it if you want
I would like to make a gift to my niece, and so I do not know the dimensions. Could you tell me what dimensions you knit? and if I can make it with cotton thread so it does not get hot? Thank you in advance. Your work is fantastic.
I really curious about making the decrease for the bust part. I'm afraid to make a halter top for someone since I'm still now aware on how to make it fit for other people by just them providing their sizes.
Ok, so I have a quick question, so when you did the 5 rows of double crochets, is that for like to how long you want it to be up until your breasts and then you do the decrease thing until you get to your neck area? I was very confused on that, so yeah.
When you do the chain one instead of the chain 2 when you turn your work, do you go into the chain one once you done with the row like you would with the top of the chain 2?
My 5 rows aren’t a straight rectangle. The edges are misshaped. What can I do? After I chain 2 on the last stitch of each row do I double crochet into the same stitch once I turn the row?
Hey girl I love this tutorial! I just started to crochet & this has been very helpful! Just a quick question - is there a reason why you use a double stitch rather than single? Just curious! :)
Marit Thostenson it doesn’t look like she did. It seems to me like you wouldn’t because you don’t want it to be too tight. Idk though. I’m still pretty new to this.
I only decreased at the beginning of the rounds at first but then i realized the decrease was too slow and started decreasing from the beginning and ends of the rows. When would have been a good time to add that extra decrease at the end?
Please, I am a beginner and I have 3 grandaughters who want Halters. So I need the number of stitches to start a small size and a medium size., also. The decrease is in every row on each side or alternate rows. This will help me very much.I want to subscribe but didn’t go trough. Can you send instructions by mail. Eternally grateful. Love Martha
Thank you so much for the tutorial. Its my first halter top!! Turned out so cute but the holes are too big..My nipples are showing :D Any tips on how to cover or crochet on top of it? Love from Berlin, Germany
I need some help I'm using the correct size hook and I'm using Red Heart yarn by my second row my work starts to curl up into a spiral then when I start decreasing I have large gaps in between the stitches how can I fix this

I watched 3 videos before this and did not get it but you really made it soo much easier❤️ Your a good teacher Thank You😊

She could start a patreon or maybe her channel is already monetized
Yes, do it ! Ive been watching you for years. I love how you teach. aloha
Maybe she should sell her work
I would definitely buy her work, she could also set up tip jar through paypal, venmo, or cash app :)
Thank you so much for your great tutorial! I was able to change it so it fits my size 40 and already made 2 of your tops!
violalaful how did you change it to fit you?

But I you have larger breast than a B cup I would start with maybe 14-15 loops and then do the trial and error from that on.

Hi Olivia and Krystal! I'm just about to start making this. It looks so great! Is the stitching close enough to not have to wear a bra underneath?
It actually does make me sad that you're going to unravel this masterpiece LOL 😯

So guys it took me a week to finish this top☺️🙈

Fall 2020 hey
I loved this tutorial! You are so clear and helpful ♡ how many yards would you say the body of the halter top took?
Thank you for the video! I made one of these tops and it’s so cute! 😊

this was such an easy tutorial to follow and my top came out great!!!!
Taelyn C did she skip a stitch at the beginning and the end of the row?
Juanita D just the beginning
I just started crochet, I made this top! It took me 2 days 😅 but I finished, thank you!
Thanks for sharing a lovely crop top can't wait to make this top.

Im happy when you upload!!!!
Can i say u are a very good teacher like wow
Do a joint double crochet for this, it stops the holes from showing!!
Sorryyy but what’s a joint double crochet?

gorgeous, as always & great tutorial!
You're too kind xD Thank you so much, I am glad you liked the video :D
I’ve never crochet in my life.
yet here I am
trying to make it
Is this top see through at all since it’s double crochets, it’s super cute ! Just wanted to know (:
I would like to make a gift to my niece, and so I do not know the dimensions. Could you tell me what dimensions you knit? and if I can make it with cotton thread so it does not get hot?

Nice ...💟💟your videos have been really helpful
Thank you so much for this!!❤️
Found this really helpful, thank you😍
I love the video. But please can a size 3 pin be used to crochet the top?
Thanks Kris I have made lots of crochet tops using your tutorial. I made good sales though
I just made this today super cute:)
I really curious about making the decrease for the bust part. I'm afraid to make a halter top for someone since I'm still now aware on how to make it fit for other people by just them providing their sizes.
Do you decrease on both sides? Mine isn’t turning out triangular.
Ok, so I have a quick question, so when you did the 5 rows of double crochets, is that for like to how long you want it to be up until your breasts and then you do the decrease thing until you get to your neck area? I was very confused on that, so yeah.
How much yarn did u use
When you do the chain one instead of the chain 2 when you turn your work, do you go into the chain one once you done with the row like you would with the top of the chain 2?
I'm going to try to see if I can try to use size 6 yarn I will update and say how it goes!
Easy to follow thanks so much starting mine now fingers x
My 5 rows aren’t a straight rectangle. The edges are misshaped. What can I do? After I chain 2 on the last stitch of each row do I double crochet into the same stitch once I turn the row?
I love all of your videos!! I just learned how to knit, and i was wondering do you know any good tutorials for making Knit tops?
Thank you so much! No, I don't know any good knitting tutorials, sorry :/
Hey girl I love this tutorial! I just started to crochet & this has been very helpful! Just a quick question - is there a reason why you use a double stitch rather than single? Just curious! :)
Hey! Im new to crochet too! I think single would be smaller and you wud have to stitch more rows to get the same size
If you want this less see through, use SC and possibly a smaller hook as well.
How many hunks of wool did you use for this top? Im thinking how many i should buy
When you make the initial chain and wrap it around your rib cage, do you stretch it?
Marit Thostenson it doesn’t look like she did. It seems to me like you wouldn’t because you don’t want it to be too tight. Idk though. I’m still pretty new to this.
Hello ms krystal can I make a request if you can make a crochet video of totoro bag and totoro hat? Thank you and more power. 😊
Could you please make a single crochet version of this perfic fit
I like this but how would I make the back solid ?
I don’t want the back that way
Do I make
The back the same
Way as the front
I only decreased at the beginning of the rounds at first but then i realized the decrease was too slow and started decreasing from the beginning and ends of the rows. When would have been a good time to add that extra decrease at the end?
I so relate to not having enough yarn for every one of my projects I want to do lol
Delana Wright wait do all goodwills have yarn? or is it just the one near you that you know of?
Hello miss krystal. Do you have a video of 70's scarf type halter top? Thank you.
hmm I'm not sure what a "70's scarf halter" would look like. Could you describe it for me? :)
Krystal Everdeen it look like a scraf that only covers the breast. I saw it in love tangled crochet in instagram.
Why does my project curl up and twist? Is it to do with tension?
what do you do if your chains are tight but your actual stitches are a little bit loose so then it starts making a curve?
How much wear can you get out of these? Do they ruin with more wear?
I am in process doing it so wish me luck guys
Please, I am a beginner and I have 3 grandaughters who want Halters. So I need the number of stitches to start a small size and a medium size., also. I work from written instructions. Can you send me the link to your instructions? Thank you!
hey, i know every body is different, but how many rows did you do total?
In uk we have 4 ply and then double knitting yarn, could someone tell me what is used in this pattern
I’m trying to make the first row of double crochet and I have a wave pattern
I can't be crying because of a double stitch
How do you stop your tops from being to gappy or see through when they are finished? Mine always end up too revealing if I dont wear a bra 😒
You could try using a smaller size hook. I used my 4mm one to make this top and even that is much less holey than the one the in video
Just wondering about how much yarn would you need to create this top
I am doing this right now to try but idk I don’t think that it is going well
Hiii I'm making this right now but I just want to know what bra to wear with this?
just dont honestly, it is adjustable so tighten it until you feel confident
Can I do this with a thicker yarn?
hello what is the size of the yarn used in the vidéo ? plz
how many rows did you do?
How long is it taking you guys to make yours cause it’s taking me almost a week
But I’m progressing😌☺️
I’m 5 days in…trying to get info on decrease seems like I’m not the only one having trouble with it 😂
mindy park you’ll get it👍
Thank you so much for the tutorial. Its my first halter top!! Turned out so cute but the holes are too big..My nipples are showing :D Any tips on how to cover or crochet on top of it? Love from Berlin, Germany
Use half double crochet instead
Use SC (US terminology) instead of DC and go down a hook size. The other option is to sew a liner of some sort into it.
Hello can i use 4mm hook instead? Thank you
I need some help I'm using the correct size hook and I'm using Red Heart yarn by my second row my work starts to curl up into a spiral then when I start decreasing I have large gaps in between the stitches how can I fix this
Im not an expert or anything but it might be because your stitches are tighter in your second row than your first row.
What bra size do u wear? Is there a printable pattern for this?
I make it is not perfect but i proud thnks. So much
Love your long hair you are so beautiful and I love your crochet. I hope I am not the only guy that loves the crochet look on women.
I need more in English but they are awesome
does anyone know what yarn she uses ?
Could you do a single crochet instead of a double?
I’m sure you could you’d just have to make more rows
