The instruction was very clear. I found better results by decreasing at the beginning AND end of every row. For my ladies with bigger tummies I would recommend measuring the biggest part of your stomach. I don’t have a flat tummy, so I measured my rib cage the first time but it’s a lot smaller than my lower stomach so I had to restart it halfway through. I’d also recommend adding a few extra chains than you think you will need, better be safe than sorry. (For reference i normally wear a L in tops and I chained 100, but the second time i chained 110)
Thank you very much, I don't have a flat tummy neither and this is always my problem when making these tops. I don't know how to measure, but now I know. Thanks
Thank you very much I'm also not a flat stomach girl I normally wear a size M but also wear a L and this is VERY good to no as I'm only a few rows in will definitely be checking the size 😅😅😅
@@ma.jayrosecortuna3178 i THINK im gonna use two half skeins and one 8/10ths full skein the skeins were the size of red heart super saver yarn! :) but im not done yet so just in case maybe buy 3 skeins...
Your instruction was very easy to understand. Even I'm just an absolute beginner, I watched and followed this tutorial and guess what, I actually succeeded in making a crochet top myself. Thanks a lot Krystal. Keep up the good work.
What I find funny is for the longest time when I started crocheting I thought a slip stitch was a single crochet I’ve been crocheting for a bit over a year now and I just figured out I was doing it wrong around a month ago I still consider myself a beginner and this was really helpful and easy for me to follow so thank you for your tutorials they are so easy to follow compared to a bunch of other creators who go super fast and don’t explain much
The way you explain everything is so easy to understand and I love it. I'm by no means a beginner crocheter, but most TH-cam tutorials lose me pretty quickly and i have to rewatch a few times, but your explanations and visuals are so easy to follow.
Made three of these in total( complete begginner) and on the third attempt, it was looking exactly like your one!!! I am very very happy with my result and am impressed with how begginner friendly this is 😍 Thank you !!! 💖💖💖
this is the first successful piece of clothing i've crocheted! these instructions are super clear and easy. i added 3 extra rows of half double crochet at the very bottom to make it a bit longer, and did slip stitches instead of half double crochet while crocheting across the top to get to the second side to make the second strap. it's super cute !!
I made this as an absolute beginner! Just followed this tutorial except i change the color every 4 rows or so to make it like a rainbow!🌈 Im so happy and proud of the outcome! Thank you sooo much for your help! Looking forward for spring here in Argentina🇦🇷 so i can rock my new top ♥️😁 Already watching all of your tutorials to find my next proyect! ❤️✨
I am super new to the idea of crocheting (like literally started considering it today) hopped on TH-cam, found this video, and I have to say, you made it sound so achievable and your wording made complete sense. I can only imagine how hard and how much effort it must be to describe crocheting, but you did a wonderful job and now I want to make this asap! 😋
Thank you for this pattern and tutorial! Very clearly explained, and liked how you repeated the important steps several times so, I didn't have to replay it that many times. Keep up the good work!!
This was super easy and fast (probably because I stayed up till 4am crocheting it) but I did it in 2 days and this night I'm finishing the laces I love it sm will definitely get more inspo from you!

Alright so, the first attempt at this came out huge as I saw others commenting. When she started skipping a stitch it seemed like you were only supposed to skip the second stitch when STARTING your next row. Come to find out, you indeed do skip the second as well as second to last stitch in the row when you begin decreasing. I didn’t want to assume because it wasn’t clearly stated to skip the second to last stitch, but my second attempt came out as it should when I did this.
i just finished the top and it turned out not that great but thats because of some mistakes i made during the process. all that aside, the instruction was really clear and im happy i made this. i'll probably attempt this again in the future after some other smaller projects and correct the mistakes i made this time. thank you for this pattern 😄
