I think this is a key to your brilliant system. After using your system for a couple of days for about a total of 5 hours I discovered exactly what this video describes. I started to see the fractional hits w/out doing the calculations. I find myself looking at the shot thinking, "hey, this is a half ball hit like my last shot", even though the shots looked so different. It's like an ability was unlocked and the deception of my eyes were revealed. This has totally changed my game for the better. Using your system has dramatically reduced the mental capacity I use for aiming, reducing my mental fatigue. I believe that this has enabled me to play much better positioning. What I mean is like before, maybe I was using 80% of my concentration on aim and only had about 20% left to execute my position. I'd be so focused on aiming that when I finally locked in the aim, I'd hit the ball way to hard or to soft. Now, I use about 20% on aiming and 40% on position. I can feel the reduced mental effort of play. The time it takes me to look at the shot and execute it has reduced considerably while increasing my shot making ability. Before, I was only good for about 2.5 hours of focused play. If I was in a money game, I'd take note of what time it would be after 2.5 hours and tell my opponent that I was only willing to play until that time. At that time, if I was losing or winning, I'd quit because my game and brain was toast. I would literally feel a tightness, not quite an ache, in my forehead from concentrating so much for that long. That is not the case anymore. I still play well after the old 2.5 hour mark. Needless to say, I am so very grateful that you made this system available. Thank you!
That one ball shot that’s 30 degrees are you adding a pinch of outside english for throw or not? I’m starting to add a pinch of outside English on all my cut shots. When do you determined to add a pinch of outside? That is the question I’m asking myself all the time. Any thought?
Nope. I shot the one about one tip above center cb. The Poolology system is already figuring in a normal amount of throw, so the aim point provided doesn't need any outside spin. With that said, yes it's true that a touch or "pinch" of outside english helps reduce the friction between the cb and ob, which decreases collision-induced throw, and it can help prevent a skid for happening. But it's generally best to avoid using unnecessary side spin as often as you can. If I had wanted to or needed to shoot the 1-ball with outside english, I would have had to aim the shot a little thicker than a halfball aim.

Thank you for the vast educative material in your videos. Math tells us that a half ball shot is a 30 degree shot formed by the following two lines. The first one is the pocket-center of the objectball line and the second one is the line through the center of the cueball and the edge on the objectball. However in your video you used 30 degrees triangle to measure the angle between the pocket-center of the objectball line and the center of the cueball-center of the objectball line, which is not exactly the angle we are looking for. Correct me if I am wrong.
You are correct. The shot angle is measured between the shot line (the line from the pocket through the center of the object ball) and the aim line (the line from center cue ball through center ghost ball or aiming point. The template I'm using here is actually around 28°, though I refer to it as 30. I use 28° because I am looking at the shot line in comparison to the center-to-center alignment line between the balls. The actual aim line will be about 2° more (offset) from this alignment line, bringing the shot angle to 30°. This video shows that each shot is identical, despite how they appear.

Lou Bomm ....it's a Mezz 401. I had a Schon Black Widow for years, before they started going with a white butt cap. Also had an STL-13. But after hitting a few balls with a Mezz low-deflection shaft I was hooked. Love the Mezz cue. Quality is outstanding.

That's what experience gets you -- automatic shot recognition. You know it when you see it. Poolology is a shortcut that helps players develop quicker shot recognition without having to hit thousands of balls over a few years.
romancetech ...I shot all 3 shots using a 1/2 ball aim. That was the main point of the video, to say these shots look different but to show they are really not. I'm sorry if you found it confusing, but I don't understand what was so confusing about it.
