Silicone (as you are saying it) is a separate substance from the element silicon (-con pronounced the same as the word "con"). Silicone is a rubberlike synthetic compound; silicon is a brittle, crystalline solid. You may be thinking they are the same and thus using the pronunciation of silicone.
@@Dude29 Not only is silicone made from silicon, that silicon is generally extracted from silica AKA silicon dioxide (SiO2), which is found in beach sand and other common minerals. So you have three extremely similarly named and related substances.
I love how every time he consideres upgrading damage, he tries his best to find some reason not to take it. It started amusing me greatly towards the end of the video :D For myself, i have found out that overthinking, especially in the first few hours of a game, is rarely the right path. Just think about the natural difficulty path of a normal video game: Easy at start, requires more thinking the farther you go. So at the start, the best strategy is almost ALWAYS the simplest of logics: Oh this means more damage, i should get more damage! Later, once you know about different material types, you know how all the stats work, and really get some experience and game knowledge, that's when you start thinking about reasons why you take or not take specific upgrades.
Very meditative. Mining iron is like printing money so you could just do a run where you mine as much as possible to max the money gain upgrades then hunt resources based on the upgrades you want.
I often made an similar game with my toys and my little brother as an miner, He use an drill to mine stone, And when he reach the core... He need to mine the stone around it to make ot unstable and leave rapidly the planet before the core explose and destroy the whole planet
Was interesting to hear you commenting on this game (and the node buster one) coming from a speed runner background. Material gets more dense closer to the core so it makes sense they would knock you back more and take more hits. Also, like others said, you didn't go to the core but I appreciate you are setting up a series ;P Looks like there's a lot more to explore!
I loved this, and when Node Buster came out, I loved that Just need more (long) incremental games Thanks Haelian for bringing me back to this game to watch!
Ore extraction was probably the worst choice early. Fuel then drill damage would actually be the more beneficial upgrades. Since the earlier you get to silicone for armor the earlier you start skyrocketing
I definitely understand the "I don't know what I'm doing" and "what's the best way" in this game. I think the game is balanced well in that as long as you're buying something it will be good for your next run. Then after that run you can buy something based on that run. Better not to think too far ahead unless you are trying to get a big unlock. :)
oh man, loved this game. builds get insane by the time youre reaching endgame. one warning on progression, unless they changed it the final achievement is an insane grind. it, by itself, was like a 2 hour grind AFTER 100% ing the rest of the game. in total i got all achievements in like 10 hours, and the last achievement was 1/5th of that by itself borderline just afk-ing on the final planet. also theres milestones in game that are ten, even 100 times MORE GRIND than that achievement. the rest of the game is amazing, but going for the last achievement, and even moreso the milestones (which only unlock cosmetic skins iirc) are not fun.
Ah but regen doesn't help farm faster, it just extends one drilling session. But there is no penalty to restarting. "Destroying blocks fast + dying fast" is much better than "destroying blocks slowly but lasting forever". What he needs is to get the damage up so that every block dies in one hit.
You asked what I like to see as far as upgrade choices so; I enjoy seeing you make the choices and talk about your thought process, its interesting to compare with what I think I would have done, and fun to learn what choices were good and bad while you do.
Seems like you may be able to use the health leech thing to gain fuel from weaker blocks (in combo with thrusters) to be able to extend runs or go deeper
I would love to see more! Definately seems like an interesting mechanic behind farming more resources. Also something about the shop theme sounds a lot like one of the field themes in FFX, haha.
mildly disappointed you didn't find the strategy of digging through aluminum and then going back to iron to refill your fuel and repeat to get to the core around 37 minutes
The shop music keeps reminding me of the Zora band's song from Majora's Mask. Whenever the shop music starts I can't help but hear the little jam session you have with the bassist while wearing the Zora mask. Probably just recency bias from watching a playthru tho. They have similar jazzy progressions.
I truly love the fact that you got 53 minutes in and said "wait, am I doing something pointless?" If that happens to be correct, thank you for sparing me because I would have done the same thing. Looks like the point is to collect all the resources before you die? Edit: nevermind 😂
I just can't be doing with these incremental games that you can 100% in the space of a day. If I'm going to chip away at something, I really want to be chipping away at it. At 10 hours to complete, I will have forgotten about this game by the end of the week.
Buy upgrades like ore refine and coin syphon first, you’ll need them! Things get very expensive and the insane boosts are required to get them. Also, please Please buy all the upgrades in the end! The Nodebuster finale was painful to watch!
Silicon ("si-li-kahn") is the element, like sand or glass or computers. Silicone ("si-li-cone"), which is what you're saying) is the stuff used in breast implants. I think you mean the former...
I could be wrong but looks like your damage in the beginnig in each block was the number of ore mined, its harder to see later in the vid because of the others multipliers
Thank you for not adding in different music, To the Core has such good music and it annoys me to no end when other content creators edit in generic garbage music.
this video infuriated me, you was so close to the yellow then acted like the game made it so you couldn't get to it then you never tried again... you ignored fuel way to long.

Haelian: "Hm, I'm getting one shot by this ore"
Also Haelian: Doesn't prioritize armor
Oh you’re going to love this, if you thought Nodebuster was fun/addicting. This one will blow you away
yeah i beat the game its so good
The fact that you put together that you could heal back fuel, yet kept hitting your head into the core without healing was kinda frustrating.
This
pretty much the thought process of Rouge like players especially Hades, is to just die and start over and over 😂
Death literally has no meaning, where is the frustration coming from?
Stupid.

i watched this for 25:04 last night before i had to crash. woke up today and remembered. good times.
Very meditative. Mining iron is like printing money so you could just do a run where you mine as much as possible to max the money gain upgrades then hunt resources based on the upgrades you want.
For me, the most satisfying is when you get upgrades that really improve your power or ability to finish the level
yea him increasing the ore fuel and armor for 10 rounds in a row while still struggling to break aluminum was diabolical

I love these incremental games so much. Something about them is just so captivating. I'd enjoy seeing you play this some more.
Fun to watch! These incremental games have been a good time
To the core is an amazing Game!! Took me about 5.6h to finish, and nodebuster about 3.2h. Greatly reccomend this game

the amount of times i screamed "GET THE REGEN" more regen = more farming = more upgrades. Saving isn't helping you!

Late in the game you get those super satisfying "cut through the planet like butter" moments. Those are the dopamine hits!
Absolutely a fun chill game once you get the hang of it, would love to see more!

The fuel.... Why would you think it wasnt good at start.... Outrageous
You have to select the challanges. Just click the box to the left of them.
Omg, the thumbnail.
I'm still traumatized by your nodebuster's gameplay. Confidentially said that it's a love-hate relationship 😂
Same here!
I-Ron... the new material brought to you by Space....
Been loving these incremental games! Excited to watch more!
mildly disappointed you didn't find the strategy of digging through aluminum and then going back to iron to refill your fuel and repeat to get to the core around 37 minutes
“Can’t we be happy with the resources we already have?”
That’s not how you capitalism.
Definitely go for more health regen! It seems to regen your fuel. From what I've gathered, your fuel is your health
This is a fun game. Late game planet breaking is so satisfying.
great vid, but the effort you put into NOT upgrading damage is really crazy 😂😂

If you press shift again, you can move freely again.
This is gonna be a good one. I gotta know if you can drill the sun
OMG
You should play more of this
Very cool :D love to see this kinds of games
game about drilling... pushes every other upgrade but the drill
You should play through the rest of this game ur content is pretty cool

When the nodebreaker video started I assume it would be this lol. This game is great.
This is an excellent incremental game for your style.
Game's cool, needs some UI updates. A filter for items you can afford would be huge.

Love this game
takes like 3-4 hours to beat btw
Love this game takes about 6 hours to finish.
i'm getting dopamine rushes and i'm just a spectator
Loved it !
Love it !
Me want more
Cool game
i know this one, its awesome!
Can someone recommend more incremental games? Prefer ones more in the depth of this one than node breaker if possible.
I could be wrong but looks like your damage in the beginnig in each block was the number of ore mined, its harder to see later in the vid because of the others multipliers
I rechecked after you saying so but this game is from last year's 2023 and not from 2021, I was sure I didn't play it that long ago
Oh oops, wonder where I got 2021 from
Just doesnt use the regen ability at all the deeper hes going till the end, that was bugging me. Thank god 🙏
Thank you for not adding in different music, To the Core has such good music and it annoys me to no end when other content creators edit in generic garbage music.
Great little game, too bad I already did everything but the pointless 10 mil cubes/500 cores achievement in about 10 hours 😕
2 days playing = complet :)
Did you never play motherlode or it's many spawned clones? You always upgrade drill first.
DRILL DAMAAAAAAAAGGE
yeah just a warning to the core is a much much longger and slower game the what corebreaker was.
Yeeeeeeeeeees!
three minutes in and had to quit because you kept saying I-run instead of iron.
It is honestly insane to me how bad you are at games that aren't hades
Say Aaron for me please
