There isn’t a filter on the video it was just actually black and white

crazy
i'm not surprised
crazy that have a nice life decided to change the whole world color to black and white just to perform their songs
@@karkaaaaa Bravo Vince, shit I mean Dan
The one live show where you can hear the lyrics better than in the studio release
Even if the mic doesn't work
i imagine that's the case for many other shoegaze-inspired artists
Which isn't saying much lol
dude imagine coming home from English class, watching this video and seeing your teacher just become the coolest frontman ever
Seeing those people sing together passionately in a small venue is really wholesome.
To all the homies who didn’t make it through the last two years we miss you

Never seen this many people passionately chant we wish we were dead
My boyfriend and I went all the way from Brazil just to watch this. Hunter and Cropsey are my favorite songs and I was just thrilled. Never thought I would see them live. It was one of the most intense experiences of my life. Thank you for uploading this video.

1:04:23 this is fucking beautiful all those people even the singer isnt singing anymore they are all screaming at the top of their lungs that they wish to be dead isnt even part of the song anymore its just...wow
FACES SWEATY ARMS AND LEGS WHAT A GLORIOUS SET OF STAIRS WE MAKE
Earthmover live is just...out of this world.
YES, this is like BROOKLYN in 1981, and we have PUNK and WAVE in the charts! 😃
Man, the way he's clearly working through some suffering while being applauded for the performance is eerie in the same way Bo Burnham's _Make Happy_ ended.
Another beautiful, bitter-sweet vicarious catharsis that I get to live through.
Thank you for sharing!
And now post-Inside, I can say you are dead on, my friend. I can never give enough props to artists that bare their anguish and torment to fans that assume it’s fake or exaggerated.
Oh wow, I never would've thought that a comparison like this would find so much approval :O
@@Greyjoy91 Yes, I totally agree!
I think the audience reaction is secondary (the main thing is the art "gets out"), but is especially bittersweet; almost pyrrhic, in cases like this
actual fucking chills
When everyone sang “Arrowheads” omg
these people just witnessed the greatest most underrated song of all time get screamed at them
which song is that
@@WatersEffectonGravity earthmover mr pinkman
Underrated?
@@jm0489 yea i wouldnt say Earthmover is underrated
this is the most raw and emotional thing ive ever seen. thank you for posting this
I would like a show where Earthmover has the intense distortion like on the album, like a shoegazy wall of noise.
I'm sure it's even more intense live than on the album, even the best ambient recording mics have a hard time picking that up. I saw The Microphones a few months back and it felt like my heart was gonna vibrate out of my chest from the feedback, watched a really high quality video recording of the same tour and it sounded puny.
@@MeatSnax it makes me wonder what they did to make the original sound.
If you were there it probably sounded more like how it does on the album, usually no recording ever sounds as good as it did when you were actually there
I know it smell crazy in there
this is not a concert this is a tribe ritual and i want to be a part of it
arrowheads arrowheads arrowheads arrowheads arrowheads arrowheads
47:44 Dan gets his head rubbed
its for good luck
One of the best live sets I've seen on TH-cam. You can tell just by looking at Dan's eyes that he is absolutely in love with what he does and that these songs mean a ton to him. Similar vibe from the crowd; must have been quite an experience in person. Very few bands have as much raw passion and emotion behind them as these guys, imo. Hope Dan and Tim keep getting Reunited by Fate.
This music continues to save my life one miserable day at a time. It is truly healing.
the earthmover performance in next level
in few months this band has become one of my top favorites, there is no album like 'Deathconsciousness'
20:13 legendary
People not knowing the lyrics to any of the songs on the unnatural world bothered me very much..
i loved seeing him rub that dudes head during defenestration song lol
To think I’ll be seeing these guys twice in April is something I never imagined possible in a post-Covid world.
Cool how he checks in on the moshpit
Imagine if the top of the roof did come off and killed everybody there
This version of Hunter is possibly one of the strongest live performances I’ve ever seen of anything. The crowd coming in for the final verse was amazing.
And it also makes a lot of sense with the lyrics, like they are the animals he is talking about
@@aronarce3165 well more like the people who follow the religion described in the booklet chanting their hymn to the hunter
I had depression before (sorrry for the mispelling, english is not my first language plus I am drunk) and I found this band. I won't say it helped because their music is pretty sad and since then, I've become an alcoholic...
But I love them. It's relatable. The sound of their music is healing.
Tem vencido a batalha?
I love this man
i could honestly not bear a whole show! i'd just start sobbing 5 seconds in lol!
You know, I have never met any bad fellow HANL fans
....or any for that matter
love this band so fucking much, the emotion in their whole performance is so raw.
This venue, Brooklyn Bazaar, on Greenpoint Ave in Greenpoint area of Bklyn, had gone out of business before Covid shutdown. Was cool place. Tell the sound man to raise the lead vox...Thx for posting...
One of my favorite bands, they got me into start making my own music, does anyone know how in defenestration he gets that screeching distortion sound out of the guitar??
which part, in particular?

THE HUNTER DOES US ALL A GREAT SERVICE
AND WE'VE DONE SO MUCH TO DESERVE IT!
🌟
And we've done so much to deserve it.
this is one of the most beautiful live performances I've ever seen
He getting jiggy with it
that curly haired dude in the front row right in front of dan looked like he was going through something. ngl i'd be losing it too if i were him, hanl live is incredible.
legendary. whoever downvoted this, I'm coming for you!
i never listen this style of music and this is one of the best things that i ever saw and listen in my life
This recording is absolutely killer!
Oh, so it's the mix that is dogshit, then!
I'm so glad I can see myself outside the entrance in the beginning. Means more to me than I can put into words
Hunter works even better as a live song.
So raw and explosive, no seriously I've got tinnitus now.
Not one to dwell on sadness but I'm glad to say I wish i was dead
I don't think there was a single mentally well individual at that concert
Powerful doesn't even begin to describe this.
I’m not crying you’re crying

Damn the recording quality on this is awesome
It was so unfortunate when his mic stopped working during bloodhail
bro this is beautiful. the pure emotion in his face. its amazing. makes me emotio😮nal
Fuck yes this is angelic
59:35 When the audience tries to hand him the other end of his unplugged mic LOL
Beautifully exhausting ... ending in tears ...
this is honestly one of the best live performances I've seen on this website. It's just so wonderful to see all these people coming together to celebrate a band who appeared to spread by word of mouth for how remarkable their sound is. I love this accumulation of music and its listeners, what better example than this video.
I really enjoy this version of Earthmover over the studio version
One of the coolest energies out there, i wish i've had the chance to go to one of their shows and meet cool people.
Intense
The way the leadsinger is moving, his expression and style reminds me of ian curtis and the bass is fucking amazing on this concert
Actually, everything is trash in this concert. The sound is terrible, although I'm not sure if it's because of the mix or the recording, or both.
@@cl8804 yeah, sound is really bad tbh but the energy they're creating is absolute brillant
And i really think the music isnt supposed to sound pretty or anything
Its part of the style and charme
@@marcelwernze2760 I would have enjoyed the performance more if it was possible to listen to in the first place. Let me just say that.

57:23 fuck I need to see this song live someday.
I cant help but continue coming back to this performance, mainly because of their closing song earthmover. Dans energy and the crowd fits for one of the most powerful live performances I’ve seen in recent years. His emotion and complexity of lyrics combines a formula that gives me goosebumps. Truly a unrecognized masterpiece combined of sorrow and unimaginable pain experienced by dan and Tom put into a song. It’s unreal.
This might be most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen fr
Incredible. Seriously, these guys fucking rock. This is truely what depression feels like.

I really hope they evolve their live act. I could imagine some mind blowing performances if they wanted the bigger venue feeling. Gotta appreciate the dedication to lo fi though.
