Literally, products that have gone bad are way worse for your skin than any preservative (that is allowed to be used in cosmetics) could ever be

Kosas and Tower 28 are good examples of how ‘clean beauty’ is actually super wasteful. The products maybe last 3 months, then they start smelling/separating. Had to throw my Kosas bronzer out within a month of purchase.

It always makes me laugh when people say "this is my summer shade", as a Brit living in the north of England I am the same colour all year round.
the affects of having sunlight.. honestly, having one tone all year round would be so much easier to use up facial makeup..

The good: I think that tone of brown is very nice!
Bad - I hate hate hate "no scent added" products that smell like dried out greasy french fries or old wax in some forgotten toolshed. Yes, glad the people with "scentsitivities" have more options now, but I have been burned too many times by an "unscented" lotion that makes me smell super dirty. :( I just need a light scent that smells clean or relaxing...
You have over 99% of the market. You have no idea how hard it is for us with allergic contact dermatitis from fragrance...conservative estimate 4% of the world, btw. That's not counting skin sensitivity which averages around 30% in Western studies and let's not forget migraine and asthma sufferers either. Deal or use perfume. We need to be ditching fragrance from skin products period.

I feel like this concealer test says more about how awesome your brushes are than about the concealer. In the end you look lovely as usual, thank you for suffering for our end of the year amusement!
My extra funny chaotic brain is thinking how would these apply with the worst brushes/sponges etc? Just to make it all extra horror. 🤣 But I think that might be too much. So maybe trying the best products and apply them with the crappiest brushes? I'm in a "we need more fun/crazy" make up challenges mood(but no tiktok bs - I'm too old for that). Another thought: maybe Tarte tried to copy that fenty April Fool's joke: lipstick or ketchup with that blush and they made a hybrid between ketchup and blush. Certainly looks like ketchup on your hand. 🤣
I hated the Maybelline foundation at first too! It's because you're using too much, you literally need a few drops and to sheer it out. I was determined to make it work so I did try it a few different ways and I found that was the best way to make it look good and not feel tacky
For me, even when I pack it on it still looks incredible and dries down completely. For me, it’s a fool proof product that looks good no matter what and I haven’t had any issues with.
@@Observette I haven't had that experience, it was sticky and looked awful at the end of the day if I used too much but I'm glad it works for you 😊 to be honest, I'm not as much of a full coverage person as I used to be either, probably why I prefer it more sheer
Sounds like the tarte concealer and ulta matte eyeshadow primer. Too much gets cakey, but use them sparingly and they're not bad.

I have oily skin. I find that it dries down just fine but matte. I live in a dry part of California. I just treat it like a matte foundation and add the same powders that I use for my matte foundations. It lasts all day. I only use one layer.
"you're excited, aren't you?" LOL. You got me. You say hurty or sticky and my ears perk up because the burning lip products feel nice to me and I've never found a complexion product that is glowy enough for me.

It's so interesting. I have a really dry skin and maybelline skin tint definitely did not work on me because it has alcohol denat in the ingredient list as a 4th ingredient. (Just like loreal nude plump skin tint) It's drying out my face during the day. I would say it would work for combo oily skins better.
My green package, Kosas bronzer, got that chemical french fry smell also. 😮

I love your sense of humor, lol. 😂 Very entertaining video. I love that foundation but I do have to use less and it can be a bit drying so I’ve been alternating it w/ my neutrogena serum foundation.
Cream eyeshadow pencils are the one exception to my dislike of cream shadows. I found I love the Hard Candy eye shadow pencils. They come in beautiful colors, blend like a dream- and best of all- they leave no fallout behind that can contribute to the look of dark circles under my eye, maintaining a bright and clean look for that area. They are also quick and easy! It has been one of the top products I’ve found in 2023.
Which eyeshadow pencils specifically do you use? Do you know if they work in the waterline?
@@jenblueangel05I love all the shades that hard candy has in their line. Especially the gray, black, lavender and taupe shades. These colors work beautifully together and I can use the gray or lavender to blend out and diffuse the black.

Thanks for this fun trial and error at your expense! You have lovely comedic timing and great facial expressions! Just what I needed the morning after Christmas Day when feeling drained and overwhelmed.
Everything plumping and ALL lip tints will dry your lips as result of the ingredients.
And I mean ALL, Fenty, Rare, Too Faced, Huda, and all the K-beauty brands that I tried.
So, yes, they seem to work for a short short time and as a result you will get dry lips after that hour, 30 minutes or the time the emollients last on those lip plumping and lip tints (usually not more than 1 hour, that being generous with timing).
So, if you really want to feel your lips pumpled and not full of fine lines use hydration before and a good lip oil or good lip bullet, lip gloss, lip whatever that brings hydrating components in it's formula. Your lip health will thank you and the results will last longer and keep your lips nice when reapplying.

I’m a child mixed with an old lady also. That Too Faced pencil is like fire ants, on fire, marching their happy march on your lips. I wear lip liner all over my lips and then gloss over that 😧 I thought I was going to die… literally.

I see people putting on the merit shadows and saying they are soooooo good and they look horrible and you can see they are struggling to put them on. It’s the weirdest thing lol
I have a few of the Merit shadows. The lighter ones work best. They last all day on my oily lid but I use primer under them. I use them as a base/transition shade. The navy and dark green are best used as liner or also as a base. But I agree it is not easy application.

I love that Kosas bronzer. Mine smells like playdough but it's o.k. I got mine a few years ago. I'm sure that I got it from a different batch. However, sometimes that's how "clean beauty" is. The products can go bad a little quicker😅. Your makeup does look good on you though. Thanks for the video!

The lipliners are the only plumping things that I can actually feel. They don’t really hurt, just tingle a bit but dayum they sure do stay put! I have a soft pink nude and I may see what other colors they have as they don’t wiggle or wear off, I can take a wee tingle for that staying power! As a pain level comparison I get Jack nothing from the 2 faced gloss so there is that.
Me too! I don’t feel anything at all with the plumping glosses either. I do feel a bit of a tickle with the liner but zero pain. I’ve never found any plumping formulas painful. 🤷♀️

Do you normally ear hot spicy with chilis? I hypothesize that you have become used to the heat from capsaicin and that is why they do not hurt. Would interesting to know.
@@isabelab6851 yes. I’m Mexican American so I have memories of telling my grandma. It’s hot and her telling me “that’s ok. It’s good for you. Eat it and you’ll grow up big and strong”. By the time I was in my 20s I had a pretty decent tolerance. I now put hot sauce on corn chips. 😂

What do you mean the foundation is sticky? Not transfer resistant? Does powder not help? The greaseball part I understand. I don't like that either, and some foundations multiply the shine of combo or oily skin.
I love the merit shadows but viper and the navy blue were so so so hard to deal with. I tried reaching out to them three times and they left me on read.
I’ve e never tried the kosas bronzer but I had the foundation and it went bad. No smell or anything but it gave me a horrible rash on my face 😬bring on the preservatives I say lol

My evil '23: KVD Good Apple (all), Smashbox Always On (goes on great, can't get it past 4 hours WTH?), every tubing mascara I tried, Maybelline tint, Shiseido shade range, NYX No Thick It No Stick It, micro glitter in every finishing powder/powder blush, bareMinerals/Real Techniques going cheap/ruinous, I got to experience 3 continuing degradations of RT brushes and sponges this year alone, everything I got conned into buying from Revolution (bronzers I think), ELF putty blush/anything, really and finally the Pawpaw and Beaky sponges that Taylor and Jessica like and they're awful. Ungodly, even.
If you'd throw it out of your fridge, definitely maybe dont put it on your face 😂 I love your humor , tarte was like" hold my beer " 😂

I cannot wear lip plumpers either. Whenever I find one I throw it out or give it away. I think being lighter as in a blond, I cannot use them. I have to wipe it off right away. I also found anything with menthol I cannot use like Carmen lip balm it burns my lips and i have to take it off.
Thank you for taking one for the team...other than the foundation (which I use and like, but it has a strong chemical smell and yeah, I hate the dripper, I'd rather a doe-foot applicator).... but stinky bronzer thats not even out of date!! Or the goopy blocked applicator... and painful lip 'plumpers'...really, they don't do much of a plumping on anyone.... thanks again... i wont be buying the other stuff 😊

I agree with ALL of those reviews except the lipliner! I’m one of those weird monsters that like the spicy lip plumpers! 😅 (I’m Latina and love spicy-as-hell food too, so there’s that) 😂
Angie, you are cracking me up. Oh, for lip plumpers used them on top of another lip color it won't hurt. Bare minerals for me goes bad and spells like pee yeah no more bare minerals for me lol
I think cream shadows are only good for putting as a base. So I guess easier to work with if you just don’t care about the edges until the very end
But that one looks very patchy and I bet my auric one is patchy on me 😂 lol. Or maybe every one I have just cause I go lazy

Brow gels are the same as mascara you shouldn't pass them onto others due to microscopic mites in the brow hair. That's why MUA's have and should be decanting the gel onto a palette if using on people
