- Preparing appa in village style | Cucumber appa | Mullusauthe appa | ಊರ ಮುಳ್ಳುಸೌತೆ ಅಪ್ಪ Appa recipe
A beautiful outdoor video regarding preparation of cucumber Appam. Here we are showing the method of appam by grating the cucumbers. The other method followed is by grinding the cucumber pieces with soaked rice, which may sometimes result in hard appams. Cucumbers have lot of water content. So no need to add normal water while grinding. This traditional Appam is prepared by using jaggery.
Ingredients:
Raw rice 3 cups (500grms)
Cucumbar 3 cups
Jaggary 300grms
Greated coconut 1 cup
Salt 1sp
Coconut oil, Or Ghee for deep fry

Your grinding stone is very nice. Deep one to contain more quantity. Nice tip of keeping rice coarsely ground. We used to make smooth paste so it was turning hard appas. Will note inthe future. Heating Jaggery and ground atta makes dish more tastier ok noted. Mom's grooving vegetables with coving plastic bag to prevent from insects etc. We hve noted. Thanks in advance , will remember you whenever we try this cucumber appam snacks. 🙏🙏
